About YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z

✦ AI summary

Slice through hordes of undead as Yaiba, a cyborg ninja wielding a blade and devastating mecha arm in this brutally stylized action game. Customize your carnage with visceral finishing moves, weapon combinations, and the ability to repurpose zombie limbs as makeshift weapons.

Step into a living comic book in this new take on the Ninja Gaiden series. Brandishing his ninja sword and the mecha weapons in his cyber arm, Yaiba slaughters zombies with brutal, over-the-top abandon. Will you slice enemies to pieces, crush them with Yaiba's cyborg arm or just rip off a zombie’s arms to use as nunchucks?

This game is F##KING BADA$$!!! Have a tough mentality going into it and be willing to learn and you'll be fine and love it. PAY ATTENTION though. Focus. You can't just zone out

I played this game a lot back whenever it dropped on 360/PS3 and honestly loved it. Being older now and buying a cheap copy on Steam, it's still surprisingly fun! Although glitches can happen sometimes such as audio bugs and glitches, attacks dont go through sometimes, it could be the PC port entirely but overall nothing bad, The story is short and sweet and pretty decent. You play as entirely new Ninja from a different clan which you had to read a comic book that came with the purchase of the game years ago to understand his small lore lol, The hack n slash is pretty fun with awesome upgrades and nice comic-art styled graphics. It gets pretty bloody but nothing too extreme. Also yes, there are ZOMBIES! Weird switch up but accept it as you will. The story is NOT CANON to Ryu's world and story. Ryu is involved in this game but you don't play as him overall just as a boss. Overall solid 7/10 in my book

One of the worst action games I've ever played. Super obnoxious enemies, weak main character, terrible combat. Game crashed after a boss and my progress was wiped to a checkpoint about one hour before. Stay away.

THIS IS A THUMBS IN THE MIDDLE. For a little backstory, check my 3 Ninja Gaiden Master Collection Reviews for Sigma 1, 2 and Razor's Edge, since I am on a Ninja Gaiden journey... So, I spent 7.5 hours in the Game, 33/49 Achievements. First I started on hard. In the middle of Chapter 2 I realized, it was too frustrating. Enemies were to tanky, I died too often and I didn't want to sweat after finishing Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge. I just wanted a nice pallet cleanser Game before playing NG2: Black. So I restarted the Game on normal. Played until the middle of Chapter 4 and I was still frustrated at how tanky the enemies were, at how much the special enemies would block and dodge around like crazy and also got projectile spammed from outside the screen and the counter didn't work 90% of the time. So I restarted again and this time on easy. Even on easy, there were some cheap encounters and it was still annoying. But I finished the Game. Let me tell you, it has some good bones. I mean, it is just a Ninja Gaiden Spin off with a self-contained story but it had some things going for it. The artstyle is nice (I like me some cel-shaded Games), the bones of the combat felt simpl…
