Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master has you build and manage an evil dungeon empire as the harried steward Reivax, decorating rooms, hiring bizarre minions, and keeping your temperamental master Zangdar happy. Defend against adventurer raids with traps and mercenaries, manage faction relations, produce resources to dominate the market, and expand across multiple levels in this darkly comedic management sim set in the quirky world of Fangh.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it!
Embody Reivax, the servile (or not) steward of the Dungeon of Naheulbeuk. Years before the first incursion of fearless adventurers, you are tasked to build, develop, and populate the wobbly tower. Above all, try not to upset your master, the evil sorcerer Zangdar. Are you up to the task?

tried to give it a chance, but it feels less like a dungeon-keeper game and more like an off-brand roller coaster tycoon title. hire goons to [strike] murder intruders [/strike] do jobs around the castle! traps are an [strike] incredibly important [/strike] almost pointless part of defending your lair. manage your resources properly so you can [strike] expand! grow! lash out at the goody-two-shoes humans and elves and dwarves [/strike] buy cute little decorations that are functionally useless but still take up space. also you can't smack your minions to make them work harder. or smack them at all. 4/10. premise was there, but it tried to hard to be its own thing and drifted too far.4 found this helpful

I finished the campaign in 3 days - I very much enjoyed that time. There are further progress to be made after the campaign, and there is also a free play mode. I'm looking forward to investing more time or even starting over now that I know what I'm doing haha.
That's a qualified "Recommendation" if I'm honest. It's not a fantastic example of the genre. There aren't many room types to create, and the game basically looks after itself. Each level of the tower is basically just a repeat of the previous, with a different layout. If each level had a 'problem', like the demon on Level 5, then I could see it being more fun. I finished it in around ten hours - and I don't feel like there's a lot of replayability. It's a diverting and pleasant casual 'cozy dungeon' game, but you don't have the opportunity to get attached to minions or even follow their 'career', and you can't (easily) track resources vs consumption... not that it really seems to matter. I enjoyed what there was, until I felt like I ran out of 'stuff' to do, and just started repeating things on a higher tower level. I'd give it a solid six out of ten just for general amusement, but only if it's on sale. I got this for around $12, and I'd consider that to be a bit much for what you get.
