Dice Legends

Dice Legends takes the familiar foundations of a roguelike deckbuilder and gives them a clever identity by making dice just as important as the cards themselves. Rather than simply drawing a hand and spending a conventional energy resource, every turn requires rolling dice and deciding how their values should be assigned to available cards. This creates a satisfying mixture of planning, probability, and adaptation. Big Bite Games and Ad Luna are credited as the developers, with Ad Luna and Big Bite Games handling publishing duties. The concept sounds heavily dependent on luck at first, but the deeper mechanics are built around controlling randomness rather than merely accepting whatever the dice provide. Each turn begins with a pool of dice alongside cards drawn from the player's deck. Dice are then allocated to activate attacks, defensive abilities, debuffs, and more elaborate combinations. A poor roll can complicate an otherwise promising turn, yet equipment, power-ups, and card interactions provide ways to manipulate outcomes. I would give this a "meh" if I could. It isn't a bad game, but the gameplay is pretty limited and I had a pretty easy time going through it and finishing the game in the first few runs. Just felt... limited. YMMV - not a bad game. I like the dice mechanics. Maybe with some more content it would feel worth.

Clear my first playthrough after 10 hours, short but not a bad roguelike deckbuilder

quite fun to play, but the characters feel poorly balanced. Having a 'deal [] damage' on a d6 is wildly different than a d12. Between the d6 and d8 it felt alright, but the summoner feels insanely strong, since you can get a lot of damage reduction and extra shield, allowing the blue imp to tank multiple small hits and very large ones. Also, getting semi-infinite card draw with almost no drawbacks from the yellow imp is bonkers if you ask me, especially if you can get multiple 'get dice' cards

Its fun

To start I don't think its fair to give this game a negative review over the few anecdotal issues people have when the developers have been actively and are continuing to address and weed out bugs and improve the game, and it already has gone some great larger changes in gameplay and progression so I'm really happy with their continued commitment and effort to make sure the game improves and stays fun to play. So just a quick list of things I've loved about the game: -Very varied playstyles, the available characters play in such different ways it really makes things interesting and there's a style for a good number of players, not necessarily everyone, but it's a good balance of styles -Art style and music are on point, it all fits, the NPCs and world look great and have personality, and the skins you work towards for your favorite character were a nice little extra touch too -Progression feels good, the item choices fit a variety of play styles and you can go multiple build routes with each character based on items and cards you can pick up and choose to upgrade.
