About Dice Card Heroes

In Dice Card Heroes, every card features its own dice. Battle against many fantastic creatures across 3 chapters. Upgrade your cards, build countless synergies and find mighty weapons to shape your playstyle. There is only one goal:Be the hero, slay the dragon.
  • Build a deck but roll your dice. Every card features a unique dice that is rolled during combat. Dice let you attack, buff and much more. Cards can also be upgraded with runestones that make every dice even more unique.
  • Control your luck. In combat you draw 5 cards every turn and roll their dice. You can play every dice, but you only have a limited amount of luck to reroll your them. Every dice also features focus sides, these allow you to use the unique abilities of your hero.
  • Craft your build. Weapons and items let you build powerful synergies with your dice. Maybe you will stack powerful buffs to destroy the enemy with one attack as the knight or gather countless arrows to rain down attacks as the bandit.
  • 3 heroes with their own dice, abilities and starting weapons
  • Over 250 unique dice.
  • 3 chapters, each with unique combat encounters and the dragon waiting at the end.
  • Over 100 different items.
  • Over 30 different weapons.

Don't let the graphics mislead you, there's a lot of depth to this little game. For a variation of a roguelike deck-building formula it has a few elements that really stand out. Things like focus and hero's spells, which really minimize the feeling of wasted dice rolls. It has some flaws, like heavy RNG demanding moments in later chaos stages and minor bugs here and there but the developer is very responsive and fixes issues almost immediately. For this price? I'd say it's a steal.

Works great on the Deck with trackpad mouse. This isn't reinventing the wheel or creating anything groundbreaking but is very well balanced for a dicey deckbuilder. I bought it on a whim after beating the demo and accidentally put five hours into it on my first playthrough and am back for more the day after, so good bang for buck here.

I've only played Dice Card Heroes a few times so far, but it immediately grabbed me. The gameplay is varied and ensures that every round is different. I especially like that you can develop your character individually by finding and equipping better dice. This makes every step forward feel tangible. Despite my limited playing time, the game is really fun and definitely motivates me to keep starting new rounds to unlock even more characters. I highly recommend it to fans of strategic roguelike and deck-building games.

It a fun but Very simple and Quick game, 3 hours in and I don't feel like there is anything more to do.
