Jewel Match Aquascapes Collector's Edition

Totally addicted to this game. What I dislike is that I don't always understand what my goal is to win the level, but can usually figure it out. Also, I don't know what a number of symbols in new boards are used for and have to learn by 'trial and error'. It would be nice if there were a sidebar that gave info on different symbols. Tutorials are okay at times, but I don't tend to remember them.

I generally like both the Jewel Match match-3 games and their soliaire games. This game has some annoying features, and I particularly dislike the snails and fog, but I found that if I earn the maximum hammer powerup as soon as possible, I can get those out of the way and enjoy the level. I just play through the fog. I play in relaxed mode and found that what really motivates me to buy these games are the beautfiul castles and animations, so I play all of the Puzzle levels to cash in on those. I don't care for the pearl challenges, but decided to take those on so I could try out the bonus games. I really like the jigsaw puzzle ones, have never been able to find that last item in the find the differences games, and found the fishing ones a little too tense, but managed to try them all. If you like match-3 gameplay, I feel the Suricate line is the best there is. I am partial to the underwater ones, and like some of the land-based ones, but don't like playing the creepy ones, such as the Twilight and Dracula ones. The gameplay is the same, but I find that what I am looking at affects how I feel while playing the game, and for me, beauty and relaxation are the prize.

The world is a bright, sparkling, sunlit maritime resort made of high-definition plastic wrap and perfectly symmetrical pearls. Massive, chic submarines glide through the crystalline scenery. Standing on a massive conveyor belt are Six Exceptionally Long-Nosed Borzois, each wearing a Miami Metro Homicide ID badge. Dexter Morgan: (Internal Monologue) Most people look at a Match-3 board and see a game. I see a Code. Harry taught me to leave no trace, to make sure everything is perfectly aligned. The Twilight match era was chaotic, unoptimized, and sloppy. But here, in this sparkling, brightly lit maritime mansion, everything is wrapped. Everything is neat. And these dogs... their snouts are the ultimate tools of precision. James Doakes: (Bursting out of a giant, high-definition clam shell) "SURPRISE, SUBMARINE, MOTHERF—ER!" I see you matching those pearls, Morgan! You think you can just glide on these conveyor belts like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ figure skater?! Normal people don't find this much comfort in UI fluidity…

I normally find myself enjoying match-3 style games. They're simple fun. But, man.. I just don't like this. It feels way too gimmicky and the levels are just so unsatisfying to play.

It's coded in such a way that it messes up my machine's graphics settings and won't give them back until it's closed. This seems like an avoidable problem but oh well.
