Your choices shape Jack's character as you navigate a gripping story of survival, conspiracy, and personal transformation across roughly two hours of branching narrative.

In Part 1 you play as Jack Cutter, a father who is struggling to keep his family together. He’s a ‘go-to’ guy in his hometown of Grey Ville. Research conducted in the nearby military base gives the town a mysterious aura. Residents prefer to stay away from it. Things take an unexpected turn when one of the experiments goes horribly wrong and the area is quarantined.

Meanwhile, a mysterious woman chases a fugitive. Her superiors expect her to fulfill her orders as usual... but they aren't telling her everything. The person she’s after is more than what she appears to be.

Soon both Jack and the mysterious agent will find themselves in the middle of a crisis that will change them forever.

Perseverance: Part 1 is a story-driven horror visual novel that approaches its unsettling premise through personal drama rather than immediately overwhelming the player with monsters, violence, or supernatural spectacle. Developed by Titanite Novels and Titanite Games S.A. and published by Feardemic, it acts as the opening installment of a larger narrative. Its greatest strength is the gradual transformation of an apparently ordinary small-town story into something much more disturbing. The relatively short runtime means this is clearly an introductory chapter, but it establishes enough mystery and character conflict to make its world worth exploring. The central character, Jack Cutter, is an ordinary family man living in Grey Ville. His life is already complicated before the primary horror plot begins, particularly because his family relationships are under considerable pressure. This provides the story with an emotional foundation beyond simple survival. Jack is not introduced as an unstoppable hero prepared for catastrophe; instead, he is someone attempting to deal with personal responsibilities while circumstances around him become increasingly dangerous. This makes his vulner…

Desktop Pets is a simple little desktop companion that puts small pets directly onto my screen while I am doing other things. The main idea is pretty straightforward. I can watch the pets wander around, interact with each other and mess about while I use my computer normally. I can also hatch eggs to collect different pets and place toys around their environment. I like this kind of game because I do not have to sit there and constantly play it. It can just sit in the corner of my screen and give my desktop a bit more life. The pets are definitely the best part for me. Their random behaviour makes them feel a little less like static decorations, since they can explore, play and interact with one another. I like the idea of having several pets around because it gives me something different to watch whenever I glance over at the desktop. The collecting side also gives me a small reason to keep checking back, especially when I can hatch eggs and add something new to my collection. I also like the simple customisation. I can add toys and change the environment to make the space feel more like my own little pet area. It is not a huge decorating system, but I do not think it needs to b…

**Review Update** I still can't recommend this game based on its writing. Characters constantly change personalities, abandon important goals, and react to situations in ways that make no logical sense. However... I accidentally found a way to enjoy it. Play the entire game under the assumption that every single person in town is a raging alcoholic who is completely hammered 24/7. I'm 99% sure this wasn't the writers' intention, but it accidentally creates a surprisingly consistent explanation for nearly every bizarre interaction. It doesn't make the writing good—but it did make the game a lot more entertaining for me.
