About UNDYING - "KINGDOM"

✦ AI summary

Guide a mother and son through a zombie apocalypse where your choices determine who lives, dies, or becomes your ally, while managing infection, crafting survival gear, and navigating procedurally-laid dungeons designed by Diablo's creator. Every decision cascades into consequences across an emotional story about survival and sacrifice, with rogue-lite elements and over a hundred skills ensuring no two playthroughs feel the same.

Caught amid the zombie apocalypse and with time running out, Anling will stop at nothing to ensure her son, Cody, gets to safety. Enduring countless perils, including the zombie infection that's beginning to take over her body, not to mention teaching Cody how to survive their harsh new reality.

As Anling and Cody explore the world they'll come across an ensemble of characters that present unique challenges. How Anling and Cody handle each one determines their fates, some may die, some may live, and some may become staunch allies or even an archnemesis. Will humanity truly prevail?

Your Path, Your Choices, Your Story!

 • With everyone trying to survive, whether you help others or not can lead to devastating consequences. Everyone has their secrets, which begs the question… Who can you really trust? Every decision you make changes the outcome of your story, what will your ending look like?

Crafting 1.0 Means of Survival!

 • It's not a survival game if there's no crafting and now, with so many things to craft and enhance, it's a wonder if there'll even be enough resources!
 • How you use the crafting system will determine if you survive or not, and how easy it will be.

The World is filled with Dungeons, Stories, and loot!

 • Did you really think we wouldn't have David Brevik (the godfather of Diablo) help design dungeons and make sure looting felt satisfying?
 • Each time you start a game of Undying, you'll never know how the map will be laid out before your eyes. The 14 major locations will be spread across the map in a variety of layouts, while the other "Unsafe Areas" are filled with random events that can quickly alter your plans. Will you help an ungrateful survivor; what about a gang surrounded by zombies? You never know who you will encounter on your journey, each with their own tale to tell.

I like this game, BUT I CANNOT recommend it in its current state. One of my biggest frustrations is the symptom selection system. After receiving 3 symptoms, I am supposed to choose which 2 to keep. However, the game frequently refuses to confirm my selections, regardless of which symptoms I pick. The only way to progress is to completely close and restart the game, then replay that section and try again. At first, I thought the game was forcing me to choose the more difficult symptoms. That seemed to work for a while, but then the issue returned around Day 25 during the third phone-call event. I tried multiple symptom combinations, including the difficult ones and the alternatives. Nothing worked. The game simply refused to let me continue. Another issue involves crafting with rotten food. I have multiple rotten items, including rotten meat, rotten potatoes, and rotten berries. Some recipes require rotten ingredients, yet when I go to the crafting station, the game says I have zero of the required items. I even intentionally allowed meat to spoil because a recipe required two rotten meat, but the crafting menu still claimed I had none. The question mark events are anot…

The story captures the unconditional love of the mother towards it children or son in this story. Furthermore, it encapsulates the adaption and shifting adjustment of a kid into innocence to exposure to the reality of zombie apocalypse. The story illustrates the good and bad effects of the outbreak to people where they cling to the glimpse of hope and despair just to survive. I would totally recommend this game to everyone to people who like macro- and micro-management. But, the developers disappoint me that this game has so much potential to be a best. Yet, they just proceed to move on to the project. I hope they come to realization that this game are loved by people because of its storyline and mechanics.

UNDYING - “KINGDOM” is a survival game that approaches the zombie apocalypse from a far more emotional and personal perspective than most titles in the genre. Instead of focusing entirely on large-scale destruction, endless combat, or heroic action, the game centers on a mother slowly dying from infection while trying to prepare her son for a future she knows she will never be part of. This emotional foundation gives the experience a level of weight and humanity that immediately separates it from more traditional survival games. Every decision, every scavenging trip, and every lesson taught to the child feels tied to the painful reality that time is running out. The story follows Anling, a mother bitten during the collapse of civilization after a zombie outbreak. Realizing that her infection is irreversible, she spends her remaining days teaching her son Cody how to survive on his own before she eventually loses control of herself completely. The game constantly reinforces this tragic premise through both gameplay and atmosphere, creating a survival experience built not around saving the protagonist, but around preparing someone else to continue living after the inevitable loss oc…

For me... its just a bad game. Wich is sad because I was really hyped for it. But right from the start I cant do anything without a "the button cannot be used" text appearing in front of my screen. The chooices in this game feel like those memes about Fallout 4. And in the end they are either "Fight this dude" or "Dont fight this dude". There are not enough tutorials about anything in the game and those that are feel incomplete. I only played 20 minutes so maybe it gets better? But I was having such a bad time trying to understand anything and also feeling like the game was bug in some way wich I didnt know. Sush a shame that this good of a concept couldnt be made into a good game

[th] ✔️ The Good [/th]

• Beautiful Art Style: The low-poly aesthetic is gorgeous and perfectly captures the somber, desperate vibe of the apocalypse.

• Incredible Premise: Playing as a bitten mother racing against the clock to teach her son survival skills before she turns is an absolutely top-tier concept.

• Skill Progression: Having Cody organically learn dozens of different skills by watching his mother perform tasks adds a highly rewarding dynamic to the gameplay loop.

• Impactful Soundtrack: The music is surprisingly emotional and sets a gripping, suspenseful tone right from the opening moments.

• Meaningful Choices: Deciding who to help and who to leave behind actually fractures the timeline, leading to serious consequences and different endings.

• Dynamic Maps: The major locations shuffle around on different playthroughs, keeping exploration feeling somewhat fresh and unpredictable.
