Megadimension Neptunia VII

First playthrough feels like the worst out of all the Neptunia games. Very easy to get stuck in a rut with a single character and a bunch of mandatory battles leading to a painfully slow grind to beat the next boss. Better make use of all 50 saves to have a checkpoint before every conversation.

first neptunia game for me, and i just cant recommend it tbh 1. horrible modern hardware compatibility and performance issues - by default, the game caps out at 1080p with a max framerate of 60 FPS. you cant increase the resolution or framerate past that without the use of mods (even then its finicky). i also found the games performance to be extremely inconsistent, sometimes dipping into the 60s with overly powerful hardware for a game released 10 years ago. 2. poor KBM support - the game supports KBM, but only shows glyphs for controllers. making the experience confusing if you arent using a controller. also for some reason i had to re-select my controller as the input option every time upon booting the game 3. confusing (and maybe bad?) battle system - the game doesn't do a good job of explaining the battle mechanics, i personally found it confusing. 4. poor graphics - i definitely dont expect any masterpiece out of 2016, but the game looks very... blurry? even at 1440p and using resolution scaling, its just off-putting to me personally. if any other neptunia fans see this, i'd like to know if any of the more recent titles address these issues and if they're worth playing. i jus…

Whoever finetuned difficulty for this game is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ incompetent. You just go through the game as normal and then an absolute random encounter with average(not big) enemy wipes the floor with you for no reason at all. Bonus points if that was the last enemy on the location before boss(that is going to be considerably easier than this average enemy) P.S. Oh yeah if you play on XBOX controller - congratulations, the game is unbeatable. You can run in this game and I learned it the hard way when after almost 30 hours you quite literally fisrt time in the game are REQUIRED to use runnig to complete a platforming section to progress the story. All buttons work, but runnig just doesn't. "Fully playable on your controller", my ass P.P.S. Okay apparently it is not a controller's fault, just a sudden weird platforming segment took me off guard P.P.P.S. Whoever put colliders for Neplunker and whoever tested this game segment should be banned from the industry. The result is the complete opposite of fun
