Superdimension Neptune VS Sega Hard Girls

awesome nep game with plenty of story and grind. make sure to limit fps to 60 so the game will run normally.

didnt have high expectations but this is actually a pretty sweet nep game, the story was okay but everything else from the combat to even exploring the dungeons was surprisingly fun its also relatively short so it didnt overstay its welcome like some of the other games...

This was my first introduction to any *dimension neptune game. It's ok. If it weren't for all of the bugs and glitches I encountered, to include the softlock where enemies don't start their attack phase, I would have given it a much higher review. I bought this game because I'm a huge SEGA fan and it seemed like unique spin on my favorite consoles. This is a super grindy game until you reach observation level 25 and unlock a special item that helps with leveling up your characters. It's a real time sink. The combat is fun but very annoying at times. I wish it was more in depth and less time consuming. Money is a real problem without buying DLC that makes it tolerable. XP grinding is very annoying, too. I think this was another rushed console > PC port. There aren't many graphical settings, and you aren't able to set the game resolution to what your monitor actually supports if it's anything abobe 1080p.

An interesting take on the Neptunia formula. The charged attacks were a neat idea. More focus put on platforming. The time mechanic was weird at first, but I started to understand it more as it went on. The Sega characters were cute even if a lot of them didn't have much of a spotlight. Hilarious dialogue. Similar to the last couple entries, but enough reworked to set it apart as its own spinoff.

A friend of mine gifted me this game a few months back, as he was a fan of the SeHa Girls series. I wanted to approach this game as a newcomer to both it and the Neptune series and see if the game itself is worth enjoying on it's own merits. After getting all the trophies and getting all three endings, I was surprised at how much fun I had playing it despite how simple it is. The game is a basic turn-based RPG where good positioning and strategy are ideal for winning battles, as you take control of 10 characters (five from Team Neptune and five Team SeHa) as each character has 3 separate classes (IF and Segami have 4 if you brought their respective DLCs) that change their stats. There's a lot of ways you can maximize the damage output of your team, ranging from weapons and gear, along with both skill moves and passive skills that you gain from leveling up. Gameplay despite the simplicity is still fun and addicting as you progress through the game as you grow stronger with each battle. The dungeons tend to repeat themselves due to the whole time travel thing this game has going, but thankfully they're relatively small so it's not much of a problem overall. My main critiques…
