This entry stands out with its intuitive panel-based synthesis puzzle system, dynamic six-character battles featuring cooperative Dual Trigger skills, and the ability to reshape environments by controlling regional weather to discover hidden paths and materials.
A mysterious story of a mysterious dream ...
This is a story about one of the adventures Sophie the Alchemist had after she left her hometown of Kirchen Bell. It is centered around Sophie's quest of searching for Plachta after they are separated in a dream world of Erde Wiege, and the new friends they meet there.
Main features:
- Evolved Seamless Turn-Based Battles
This game incorporates new multi-link turn battles that feature six party members divided in two teams and begin seamlessly when players encounter enemies while exploring. The combat experience is enriched by a multitude of special effects and actions, including special Dual Trigger skills that involve two of the team members attacking in unison.
- Two Types of the Panel-Based Synthesis
This game features an accessible puzzle-like synthesis system where you place ingredients on a panel to create new items. Players can choose to use either the Standard Panel or the Restricted Panel, which will increase both the difficulty level and the rewards.
- Manipulate the Weather to Open New Paths
While each region of Erde Wiege has fixed weather, you will be able to change this with the help of special tools. Changing the weather will allow you to not only change the scenery when visiting the same area but also gain access to new, previously inaccessible places. Perhaps the weather will affect even the materials you can collect?

This is the best game I've played so far in the Atelier series. It's quite fun overall. Nice story that isn't too dark. The alchemy system is great. My biggest complaint is the camera panning is jerky, especially around edges and walls. Somehow, it's even jerkier than earlier Atelier games. My second biggest complaint is that the anti-aliasing is low quality and results in very visible shimmering and jagged edges. You can get mitigate this by playing at a higher resolution if you have a good enough GPU, so it ended up not bothering me too much.2 found this helpful
Upper end atelier game with slightly less interesting main characters than side characters. The crafting system is solid, not the best in the series but well done. I would argue most atelier games are worth 40 dollars but this one is a genuine 60 dollar game, I still got it on sale because I almost have to but it is worth full price.1 found this helpful
This is a sleeper of a game to get started. i am 35 minutes in and 28 of that was cut scenes. i mean maybe it is awesome but i want some control besides run from point a to point b inside town before the 30 minute mark.1 found this helpful
