Down to Hell

"Down to Hell" is yet another of literally thousands of 2D retro platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. It's a handheld (Nintendo Switch)/console game that's also been put on Steam as a bit of an afterthought, as it's very much designed for the handheld/console gaming audience. This "dark and broody" horror themed platformer/brawler has a fantasy/horror theme and some fairly low production values, but then we shouldn't expect much from Nintendo Switch games when we're on PC. They know Steam is for PC games, right? This game has been translated from some other language into English... badly. If this was done through Google Translate, Google Translate should feel ashamed of itself. Regardless, the language in this game is broken and will put off a lot of gamers. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic 2D art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Brainless hack and slash with heavy metal music on bosses , very low tier game that should be sold for 0.99$ , also who puts parry on C , low 2/10 , got one point only cause of the metal music.

If you could get this unfinished game for free, then yes I would recommend it. But, only a fool would pay money for it.

i bought this game for 76 cents on sale and beat it in about 45 minutes. its got maybe 4-6 enemy sprites that are recycled ad nausem. its got platforms that suddenly stop working and others you cant even see and have to blindly jump through. its got a repeatitive audio track and sound fx that are so loud they overtake the mumbling narration that rambles on about stuff that has nothing to do with your currently play thru and i guess is attempting to hype up the main character with silly stories like "he fight so hard and in so many wars that all he knows is ultra violence and then...chapter 3 coming soon!" lol no shop, no armor, no weapons, no customization, and 1 pointless npc who is an old man who is like "omg stop being so hardcore mr awesome!" Then the glitches lol. no one did any QA on this. the same stories loop again and again if you back track, text gets stuck on the screen long after dialog finishes. i even had 2 crashes. one locked the game and another locked up my whole steam deck. even after getting this on sale for 76 cents and beating the game cant recommend it. its worse than most student project games, incomplete, glitched, has typos, bad fx, bad music, poorly mixed,…
