SLAUGHTER VOID is a brutal heavy metal dark fantasy slasher where speedrunning meets blood-spattered dark fantasy. Built around tight handcrafted levels, lethal combat, and constant forward pressure, it throws you into a savage run through cults, beastmen, necromancers, and broken realms inspired by 80s arcade action and retro fantasy paperbacks.
In the Void, blood is cheap, but Bones are the only currency that matters. Violence rewards you with the remains of the fallen, and the faster your clearence, the richer the harvest. Return your spoils to the Astrarium to trade with the Smith, the Huntress, and the Twins to unlock the sacred instruments of slaughter. Carve through packed enemies in wide, bloody sweeps, crush anything in your path with brutal forward charges. Hook into prey and drag yourself straight into the kill before the first body hits the floor.Secondary weapons let you kill beyond arm’s reach, while relics change what your body can do: stronger kicks, reflected shots, explosive force, and second chances when the Void should have taken you. The right build does not just help you survive - it lets you reach maximum slaughter.You die in one hit. Most things you fight do too. The difference is who reaches the killing blow first. Stack kills quickly enough and your speed condenses into momentum, a sliver of grace that eats the next fatal blow for you. Lose it, and you are back to the same fragile thing the enemies are. Hotline Miami in a space barbarian world with some good music. Pretty fun! I like the addition of different weapons and passive relics you can equip.2 found this helpful
Very fast paced, adrenaline-filled action. Some decent weapon and relic variety. Each weapon also has a special attack. Controls feel very smooth and responsive. Addictive gameplay loop. Challenging without feeling punishing or unfair. Story and worldbuilding sits firmly in the "who cares" category for me but that's not what this game is about. I 100 percented it in 4 hrs including achievements. It has more replayability if you want to go beyond achievements and try to compete in the global scoreboards. I have no negatives to complain about but bear in the mind that especially if you're not aiming for achievements or if you're simply a more mechanically gifted player you might finish this far quicker than 4 hours. Still an easy recommendation for a short and sweet game to at the very least consider when it goes on sale.1 found this helpful

totally worth the asking price. though short, it delivers on the promised adrenaline rush and gives players a varied set of weapons and tools to figure out which combination slaughters demons best for you. the smartest decision made in this game is having your combo increase your move speed as it goes higher and higher. once you build that momentum you feel unstoppable, until you step in acid like I always did lol. and while you can still finish the level with the help of a shield, you will want to replay the level to get the maximum combo and the best time possible.1 found this helpful
