About Hell Slayer
As the flames of war consume the world and the forces of hell rise to claim victory, humanity hangs by a thread. You are the Hell Slayer, a warrior driven solely by vengeance to destroy the demonic lords.
Hell Slayer is a hardcore Survivor-like. Each run, you'll need to survive for 25 minutes while fighting off endless hordes of foes, each more devious than the last. As you fight, you'll earn experience points and level up, giving you the opportunity to choose from many upgrades to tailor your build. Every weapon has multiple upgrade paths unique to them, will you prefer area of effect or raw damage? Attack speed or penetration? The choice is yours.
As you explore the scorched earth, you will find new weapons and trinkets for your divine armory. Here you pour the soul essence you collected into permanent upgrades for the next run. Steel your body, meditate and imbue your weapons. Only God can help you now.

So far this game is quite addicting. I have way more hours on it than most other games in the genre. There is a huge skill-tree that acts as kind of meta-upgrade. After every run you gain essence and can buy more nodes in the skill tree. But right now it feels extremely grindy. After almost 20 hours in the game I still couldn't beat brutal difficulty and my skill tree is like...20% filled right now. I'm still hoked to the game although there is only 1 character and 1 map so far. But 20 hours of fun so far...for that price. If you like that kind of Vampire-Survivor-Likes than this feels like a no-brainer. UPDATE: As of now (End of May 2023) it seems this game isn't receiving any more love. At the beginning updates came in in weekly intervals. But right now nothing has happened for months. The Developer doesn't seems to react to any Threads in the discussions any longer. For a game, that's still in EA and hasn't even released that is just plain bad. IF for any reason, development has been abandoned, let the players at least know and communicate with them. Perhaps there are personal Issues that are delaying the development. That's absolutely fine. But let us now. I also …5 found this helpful
Even though this is a really good base for a game of the style, as of today its been 11 months since the last update, and no communcation whatsoever from the dev. To me that signals that the game is abandoned, so don't buy this. If this ever get updated I might change this review.2 found this helpful

I really liked what was there, but the game is unfinished and abandoned.
This one appears to be abandoned - I hope the dev is OK and maybe gets back to it but maybe try something else meanwhile
