About Spiritus Astrum

Spiritus Astrum, or "Spirit of the Stars" is a persistent, open-world, multi-player, roleplaying sandbox. It features an infinite, procedurally generated universe which players are free to explore without restriction.

Solar systems, Stellar phenomena, and planets, are realistically scaled, and players can land and explore, craft, and build at their leisure, using a variety of spaceships, vehicles, and tools.

Spiritus Astrum is designed around emergent gameplay, with randomised NPC's, quests, enemies, and resources.

Combat in Spiritus Astrumis optional, the game features diplomacy, trading, and stealth in addition to combat. Conflict between players is not allowed, players may work together to explore or build, but may not engage in coflict. This encourages a cooperative, roleplaying atmosphere.

In addition to customising their characters appearance, players can choose traits and a background for their character. They can be a trader, a diplomat, an explorer, a war veteran, and more.

The game features "life simulation", players will need to eat, drink and sleep, in addition to training their various skills.

The Skill system is also dynamic, over-training some skills will reduce others, this prevents the "grind" often seen in other games of this type.

In Spiritus Astrum, players may live a true "virtual life". Players can purchase apartments, land, build homes, and even own their own ringworlds or entire planets!

Players can spend their time travelling the stars on board their ship, living within a densly populated city, or exploring vast worlds alone or with AI or human friends.

Spiritus Astrum is persistent, the players actions and choices matter, and will affect how NPC's and factions perceive them. If the player has a positive relationship with an NPC, they may agree to join your crew, or give you a discount on store purchases. However, with a negative relationship, they may not talk to the player at all!

In the future, Spiritus Astrum will also feature the ability for players to create their own stories to share with other players, and the ability to use the games tools to create unique enemies, weapons, and items.

Spiritus Astrum is more than a game, it is a world.

AS OF RIGHT NOW - Yes this game is in early access but why charge us to play this when it is unplayable atm? I tried a scenario twice and roaming and genuinely its unplayable. The first time I played scenario 2 and glitched off the ship and kept falling over and over again and had to force quit the game, then i tried again and it wouldnt load. Then i tried free roaming and is there even a way to get off the ship? i tried everywhere I could find. Also when talking to ai I typed to them and got nothing back and then the menu glitched and i have to jank off the interaction menu. Things on the starting ship were going invis Im VERY excited for this game to eventually be completed and will be watching for updates but I am upset Early Access costs any amount of money right now. Amazing concept, but should be free atm

although early access period of 6m to 1 year seems ambitious i bought the game because clearly someone spent a lot of time making this im always happy to suport small devloper's dreams and small games like are always gems and worth it to see where they go in the future edit: some of my gameplay after going in free roam i went around my room read a 20 page book went to the recreation room tried to play cards (had no one to play them with) interacted with a computer watched a video on it from the browser a fire broke out in hanger 1 it showed it on a map on the ship someone took it out befre i could (nice) messed with the ship's reactor a bit after i went to the deck (elevator behind the reactor) i controlled the big ship around for a little bit then got stuck inside the walls of the ship when i left my chair

Dev is actively working on patching the bugs. The reviews that say the game is buggy are buying an Early Prototype and Expecting a Finished Product...and for this price? The Simulation quality? Totally Worth more than $5. For the price of a Single Lotto Ticket, by buying this game, your investing in real game quality. To Quanify the Simulation Quality, This game has the Potential of Both Ark: Survival Evolved, and Elite Dangerous: Odyessy, for $5 and a wait, compared to over 100 USD + MT Shinangains. It even runs well on somewhat dated hardware currently (My PC Groans a bit but it isn't overtaxed)
