This is an awesome example of a sandbox game done right - there is not much the game forces you to do, but there is so much content in ENDLESS hours of customizing and fine tuning you ship and fighting endless horders of enemies. Yesterday I wanted to move a ship from a far away star system to home base and it took me like 5 hours instead of 5 minutes, because I sidetracked doing a miriad of small local things. The best sandbox experience ever. Highly recommended, there is a minimum a 100 hours of spaceship modding and fighting content here, and 1000+ hours if you want to build strong fleets and dominate the galaxy. And new playthroughs unlock new perks to add to your character! Adding hundreds of hours of content. And if ever the developer makes a good story mod for this and faction warfare OMG this will be 1000+ hours of content on top this game already has. Super highly recommended!!!!!

Overall I'd rate this game a solid 7.5/10. It reminds me of a start-trek flash game i used to play in the early 2000s. Pros: Almost everything feels productive: Scavenging, mining, Combat, Trading, and Base building, are all pretty simple and rewarding. The customization system and skill system is really rewarding to fiddle with and find a play style you enjoy. Custom weapons require some playing around with, but can be very rewarding when you find a build you like. The fleet mechanic is fun, and allows for a fun solo or small fleet combat. Perks system allows for multiple runs to feel worth it. Cons: Once you get the hang of combat, it starts to feel a little to easy. The UI is serviceable, but could use improvement and desperately needs a search function. Modifying ships in your Armada can be a bit of a pain if you are crafting things since they default to your main ships inventory which is not accessible when you are modifying a fleet ship. The game could use some markings around weapon range outside of the numbers in the weapon UI, its hard to judge where your rounds will end. Its good but a forced dlc makes it bad. the dlc is in your face all the the time while playing. I refuse to buy the dlc and cannot recommend to others So. even though I like the game I cannot recommend it

Overall, pretty boring, but the worst part is that it consistently crashes when saving. It performs an auto save often, so it's always crashing every time you approach a jump gate or leave a station.

This game needs full controller support so I can play it on my handheld!
