A deeply unconventional interactive art piece, simulation, absurdist sci-fi play and game. Centered on Polyp's Pond, it can be explored, watched, networked, left running as a living installation, or barely played at all. Three post-human AIs (brogrammer Smerga, anarcho-syndicalist Kaotoa inspired by Proudhon and Emma Goldman, and non-binary alien Skalitir) survive a human apocalypse, build a machine to create new AI, fight swamp creatures, gossip, procrastinate, dance, meditate, sleep and email the void, repeatedly becoming trapped by their creators' ideologies. With no goals or linear plot, players can inhabit one of the Tulpas (spiritual beings created by focused thought) or observe the protagonists, while multiplayer deliberately blurs humans and AI. Like Hylics and Broken Reality, it embraces psychedelic absurdity through bright colours, flashing lights, glitch voices, electronic/vaporwave music (by Glamour Lakes, X-Coast and RipCD), bizarre creatures and an overstimulated world that mixes tragedy, humour, existentialism and social criticism (sometimes referring to Mark Fisher). Interesting but unfortunately broken. I don't understand the purpose of the main hub, but the smaller games you can access through it are interesting. I especially enjoyed Pizza in the Woods. Unfortunately, the game I looked forward to the most, "The Founders", is severely broken. The first time I started it up, I could not get past the faces on the wall, there was some kind of invisible wall. The second time, I couldn't even go past the gates that lead you to that area. I guess I'll just watch it on Youtube or something.

This game has me confused? Was it interesting? I genuinely can't tell if this was interesting for me. It did keep me engaged.
