NIDANA

A small child is brought to an art museum by their mother. The child is not feeling well but the mother is too engrossed in the evocative pieces that their pleas for home go largely ignored. At some point the child separates from their mother as their sickness and imagination interlock and the ordinary exhibit morphs into nauseating living geometry. Wandering uneasily around corridors and seemingly endless mazes, everyone is their mother. Chasing mother after mother, catching up, falling through floors, soaring through boxes, deliriously interacting with portals, trying to make sense of direction. A small child that doesn't know where to go or where to vomit. Nor do they question why no one seems to care. An escape to a exit stays elusive. The abstract is so sharply focused, it overwhelms their senses. They traverse mathematics by accident hoping to unlock peace of mind and a warm reassuring hug that everything will be okay. No peace of mind comes. No hug from their mother arrives. They are trapped in dizzying hallucinations until, at last! Mother. Thsi game was painful to play as a direct result of the visual design. The constant bright lighting gave me immense eye strain after only 20 minutes, and is the first game in my life that I've felt pain from looking at. The puzzles are satisfying and intuitive, but I felt myself rushing through most of them because of the headache inducing artistic style. 2 hours of torture, I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone except for those I wanted to suffer.

Strange and stylish in a way I find very cool. I really like the atmosphere and some of the sights are pretty awesome, but the gameplay can be a little rough at times (there is a tailing mission?). I like getting lost in this type of game, but it did start to lose steam for me in the later half. Still, it was a very cool experience and $10 isn't too bad for what you're getting.

Very unique and had some very cool geometry and mathematical artwork. This would be crazy cool in VR. Towards the end there was so much geometry which I liked but it did bring my computer down to its knees. This is the type of game where you don't want to force some type of antialiasing or you will miss out on some cool effects.

Very trippy. Awesome impossible geometry. Don't know what happened. 10/10 Great character design - very simple and clean, I feel like I got a lot of her personality just from her looks. In case there was supposed to be some deep message in the game - sorry to the devs but I didn't get it and I don't care. Understanding is temporary, but abstract geometric shapes are eternal.
