Sugar Shack

I am a French Canadian and I really like the vibe of this game, but I can't recommend it since I encountered a bug that make the game unplayable for me after 16 Days (in-game). This game is out of early access, there should not be game breaking bugs anymore! I got a bug that my harbour stalls are stuck in the lighthouse and I can't use them anymore. I tried to restart my game, change the harbour tile placement, repair my game files Nothing work! The review will stay negative as long as the game is not fixed.

This game is cute but insanely riddled with bugs still. For some reason my daughter's game forever says follow someone to your shack. Which would be to open it although we already did this and now it's the same step back. However she just chills outside her house and now our game will never progress.

Sugar Shack takes the familiar cozy simulation formula and gives it a refreshing Canadian identity by centering the experience on running a traditional maple syrup operation. Obsessed with this game! I visited a sugar shack outside Montreal last year and this game captures that feeling perfectly.

I really, really enjoyed the concept of this game. I wish this game continued with updates, it could've been super fun. I'm choosing not to recommend this game simply because it's never going to get updated again.

The game is okay. Progression doesn't make much sense at times, but the tiling and snow mechanics are fun to play around with. The inventory system is a bit annoying, but the game is overall fun enough to keep you entertained for a couple dozen hours. The overcooked style restaurant management is a bit clumsy.
