Pixel Orbit

I really wish I could give this game a thumbs up especially considering the price tag but there are just too many small things that could be improved. A lot of the features feel really half-baked to me. - Unlocking multiple bullets per shot is cool until you find out that one entity can eat all the bullets even though a single bullet surpasses it's max health. - You can unlock automatic turret aiming which targets the closest target, this is actually to your detriment since all turrets target the nearest and a lot of shots end up missing. This would be fine if you could disable the automatic aiming at all. - The same death animation seems to be used for everything when at the very least the explosions could have been the same color as what you are destroying. - It's difficult to tell how much money something gives you, the only thing you see is floating damage text with no indicators of money gained. - The progression curve doesn't feel good to me. Many of the upgrades feel meaningless until you have enough to justify buying them and there aren't moments where you feel like you "move up a tier" and spam buying what you hadn't before. Great concept. Wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay - once you get autoaim there's kind of nothing to do except go AFK. The prestige system is ROUGH. Barely even worthy of being called prestige. Made for a grindy and not fun play through. I think there's potential here, though!

Amazing game in the genre, you get that dopamine rush if you're a junkie like me lol. To the dev: Please for the love of god make a disclaimer that we have to get the overload for the cores in order to finish the game. I didn't think it was essential and I proceed to the end game to realize that I had to play all the way back to overload my cores permanently. Also we don't know how much HP the bosses have for the nuke achievement, I had to raw dog it using multiple runs, it would be good to have a boss health indicator. Thank you for this game though.

Changed my life.

Pixel Orbit world defense incremental with a unique prestige system where you are able to keep a boss drop equipped that you are normally able to equip only one of at a time. This makes each prestige end at different times depending on if you want to keep the one you just got, or go for a better one, depending on RNG (though its very generous with the drops). These boss drops range from mediocre to game changing. You definitely don't need all of them to beat the game. It's entirely possible don't need any, but it'll be difficult. Originally, I had a gripe where you start from the very beginning of each prestige with just the boss drop, but the developer added a bit of increasing starting cash each prestige, so it's not so tedious. I also feel a couple of defense mechanisms you get aren't as powerful since they lack a special boss drop (or maybe it's just a psychological effect and they are good without one).

Short but fun.
