About 50 Years Classic
The Classic Version of the Game "50 Years"The game "50 Years" has gone through several iterations. It started as a fully text-based game. Then there was a version with symbols instead of units, similar to old roguelikes. Next came a version with minimalist graphics. After that, there was a version featuring colorful units, buildings, and backgrounds.50 Years Classic is essentially the version of "50 Years" with minimalist graphics. This version has its own unique vibe, and I think it might appeal to those who enjoy minimalist games. Additionally, it's easier to add new content to this version (for example, new nations). Plus, the game will be free.A Fast Turn-Based Strategy"50 Years" was created as an alternative to large and lengthy strategy games. It’s a strategy you can play in the evening and finish. Or lose quickly—both options are quick. In either case, you'll want to play again.Still a Strategy GameWhen I created this game, I wanted to preserve all the emotions I get from playing turn-based strategies. That's why "50 Years" remains a strategy game. Here, you'll make difficult decisions and take risks.ReplayabilityFast matches don't mean you'll get bored quickly. When you lose, you'll want to try again to last longer. When you win, you'll want to play again to do even better. Also, the element of randomness makes decisions less obvious, making replays interesting. The Opening MattersThe opening is one of the most exciting parts of strategy games. Of course, mistakes early on can have dire consequences and even lead to defeat, but that makes the game more interesting.Features
- Choose a nation with a unique starting trait
- Multiple development paths
- Belief system — experiment with combinations of beliefs, buildings, and creatures to create a strong economy and army
- Well-balanced difficulty levels: Hard mode is challenging; on normal difficulty, it's fun to play

You cannot imagine the number of hours I spent playing the flash version back in 2020 during distant learning. The game is amazing, and it was unexpected to see it released on Steam. Give it a try, especially since it's free.3 found this helpful

Big fan
Normal difficulty, Just waiting year after year to get enough gold to build barracks and get more soldiers because without them you are being crushed on turn 1. On the fourth game I finally had more soldiers but I was still defeated. Uninstalled. I don't know. This is townbuilding game but text based, which is cool trick. Maybe someone will like this. It's just too difficult for me and I refuse to play this on easier level!! which I usually do with 2/3 of games I play
