About 500 Years Act 1
The Earth was dying and humanity boarded ships to colonize the stars. These ships were named after the wonders of the ancient world: The Giza, The Alexandria, The Rhodes and finally, The Artemis.
The Artemis landed and set up a colony on an Earth-like moon. Then the Ants, an insectoid species, came and enslaved the colony. All hope was lost.
Years later you were born in the Artemis colony and joined the resistance against the Ants.
One day the Ants suddenly left your colony for unknown reasons. The Proctor of your colony tasked you with finding the ancient Artemis colony ship. Among the wreckage you found the captain's yacht; and it still works! You and your crew take to the stars to find the other humans, if they are still out there. 500 years after the destruction of Earth...
500 Years is an old school episodic space opera. The game is an adventure where you explore different star systems and meet the inhabitants, some friendly, and some not so friendly.
The story will be concluded in Act 2; DLC coming soon.

This space opera is a fun exploration to partake in, but then the actual combat starts.2 found this helpful
Like an indie take on Star Control. I wasn't a fan of the combat so I cut my gameplay short, but I do think it's a fairly fun experience. I might one day try it again.
The game could have been potencial. The programmer was about to make a whole universe. Unfortunateley it lacks everything. The world feels constructed, the graphics look horrible even considered they are intended to look like a Retro Game... and the controls... oh my god... Don´t spend money here. You can do so much more with that dollar.
This is more of a point-and-click adventure game... actually no... not even that... it's more of a visual novel with terrible, ugly visuals and no interactive choices. One can easily beat the game and get most if not all achievements by clicking away at the game without reading a single line of text. The space battles require little strategy and the few difficult ones take far more luck (and a few tries without using the skip option) than any amount of skill. When I started the game, it even told me it worked best with an XBox controller and I attempted to use mine, but it doesn't pick up and I don't even see how it could be used in place of the mouse controls. I think I see what the developer was going for, some kind of blend of action, strategy and space simulation, but the developer must be the worst sort of amateur as it literally fails heavily in all aspects. I actually can't believe this is not a free-to-play title and asking people to pay for it could possibly be considered a scam. I doubt there will ever be an Act II.
Lousy graphics and sound. Terrible combat. Weird progression and upgrade system. Awful game.
