96 Mill, developed by Ethereal Darkness Interactive and published by Strategy First, is a first-person point-and-click horror adventure that leans heavily on atmosphere, environmental storytelling, and player-driven discovery. Set inside the abandoned Edmont Worsted Industrial Complex in Rhode Island, the game places you in the role of a demolition company worker assigned to inspect the property before its destruction. What initially appears to be a straightforward occupational task gradually unravels into a tense exploration of the building’s dark history, blending grounded realism with hints of the supernatural. The experience unfolds across more than fifty explorable locations within the decaying factory complex. Each area is presented through static, photorealistic backgrounds enhanced with interactive hotspots, creating a grounded sense of place. Players move through offices, basements, stairwells, and storage rooms by clicking through transitions, examining objects, and uncovering scattered notes and audio recordings. The building itself becomes the central character, its abandoned corridors and industrial remnants conveying a sense of long-forgotten tragedy. The lack of tra…1 found this helpful
An awkward janky mess with no style, no charm, & no sex appeal. There is a broken image icon on the screen the whole time you play.
For the 77p I paid this was a fun if short game. Old style first person point and click where you navigate to different locations by clicking the on screen arrows. In a break from the old school the arrows are labelled with the area they take you to or question marks if it's one you haven't visited yet. It also has a map that allows you to jump to any already explored location, which avoids having to move all around the map trying to find where you might be able to use that item or key you've just found. Puzzles are fairly light and you can't miss anything because interact-able items are all shown in their own boxes at the top left of the screen, so you never really get stuck. The photo style graphics work well, but don't wow because they are just photos and the music/sound did a decent enough job of building the atmosphere. The multiple endings are easy to get as it does a final save point you can reload to, but you may not want to bother beyond a couple as they're mostly minor variations. If you see it on sale and want something to pass an hour or so it's worth picking up.

After playing STATIC: Investigator Training (from the same company) I bought this looking for more and quite enjoyed. It isn't a sequel but seems to be in the same universe. It's a very short game, but cost almost nothing. I recommend. Shame that the developer doesn't exist anymore.
this will be the last time I chuck a molotov cocktail through a window just to see what happens. and in real life too.
