Cursed (2022)

Learned about this one through a random Macaw stream of the 2nd game and thought it really looked like a game that knew exactly what it was going for. I figured I'd wait for the remake and finally got around to playing it. It's a fun horror adventure game that feels earnest in its design. Warts be damned, you can tell the dev had a vision and made it a reality, without any fear of whether it would be "good enough". Wish it didn't take me so long to find out about this series, I'd have been all over it after playing the Chzo games in the early 2000s. Really dug the non point and click aspects the game was willing to throw at me, as well as the various false leads. Kept me guessing what might be reachable and what might happen next. The combat gave the game a continuous sense of urgency, and integrated itself into the game so well during a chase sequence. Looking forward to checking out the sequel soon!

Even if we only consider the original version and not the updated one Cursed 1 is a classic flash point and click horror game, with the new extended version making the game a lot more interesting and tying it with the rest of the series in terms of visuals and storytelling.

I had a huge smile the whole time I was playing this, there's such a specific feeling that comes from games of this time with this influence and tools/resources. It felt like a passion project in all the best ways, I had a blast. My only gripe was, in the enhanced version, navigating the dark areas back and forth, but that didn't detract from my overall experience.

I love this game so much. Yet not enough people know about it. Wish more people would like adventure point and click games. They are usually underrated. Specially this one after the remake. Disastersquad has been cooking!

Remake vastly improved this game on par with the others in the series. Definitely check it out

Decent game although I was stuck for 30 minutes around the end until I looked up a walkthrough and it turned I was supposed to deflect an attack from the final boss, when the game tells you NOTHING about something like that. I recommend playing solely for the art and strong horror aspect. The gameplay can ♥♥♥♥ right off
