About A la Card
A la Card is a food truck deckbuilding roguelike where you'll mix and match the best aspects of every card you find to create absurd synergies and make new discoveries every time you play!Stick the effect of one food onto another. Change what triggers that effect in the first place. Swap stats, inherit flavours, and cook up clever combinations no one else will.Every run is an ebb and flow of cramming as many calories as possible into the window before hittin' the road to slap together the most powerful cards you can conceive of. These people want food? Oh you'll give them food. But it won't be enough to just make a really big burger. Zany bosses bring self-contained puzzles to navigate, testing your deck's flexibility. They'll slip you a card and refuse to leave until you serve it to them or clog the window with half-eaten scrap. You'd better be able to improvise.Served with a garnish of tasty tunes made to order by Josh Whelchel.Features:
- Sequence your cards to make the most of their effects. Skilled players are rewarded for clever plays.
- Combine the calories of your ingredients using powerful recipes, creating space to serve even more food!
- Random special events provide opportunities to change each and every detail of your cards: the colours, calories, effects, how you trigger those effects, and more!
- Each starting deck has a unique and powerful trinket that deeply impacts how it plays, and you'll find more trinkets to mix and match throughout your runs.
- Presiding over each location is a memorable boss with a unique ability. When big numbers aren't enough, you'll have to get creative!
- Win runs to unlock more starting decks, trinkets, and release even more cards into the pool for future runs.
- Revisit your favourite decks to take on special challenges and earn coveted stars!

This game is so good mechanically. It's like Monster Train but you're dealing with the baskets from Chopped. 10/101 found this helpful
Interesting and creative game. It looks like a kiddie game but it's not at all. It requires thought and you can kind of fail a run if you make a bad choice... But generally if you fail, it's because you did mess up. It was probably preventable. You can always start a new run and learn from your mistake. The runs are quickish... and fun with plenty of personality and different strategies you can take. So if you like fairly casual card games or maybe food prep games, and don't mind a little strategy or learning from your mistakes, I recommend this.
A hidden gem of a card game
Fun card based roguelite, good music and some neat mechanics
Ive been adoring this game for weeks now!! the devs are also lovely, ive been playing it on stream and a few of them have joined and chatted with us!!
Its a good concept but everything is just half baked and not fun. -Locked in cards on click, especially odd for points based goals -poorly explained mechanics and what certain statuses/effects can do -Tutorial or explanations can not be reviewed or reset, you miss it good luck finding out information Def in the lower C tier of deckbuilders
