About All Guns On Deck

✦ AI summary

Command a warship across a sprawling world torn apart by four warring factions, managing your crew and arsenal of guns to battle enemy vessels, aerial forces, and colossal sea monsters in intense real-time naval combat. All Guns On Deck blends strategy, action, and RPG elements with a unique crew management system where you directly control weapons or delegate to your team while capturing ports and conquering continents.

The vast horizons are full of pirates, vagabonds with no claim to the ground their feet tread. Amongst the bandits scattered across the oceans, four factions dominate the worlds main landmasses. Eutopia's conquest will be the force that rids the world of its calamity. Making way for a new era of prosperity, with all continents under one banner.

In a world where sea battles are the punch line of jokes uttered by historians, the generals of Eutopia focus their efforts on reviving the lost art of ship building to aid in the campaign against aerially superior foes. Hiring small bands of mercenaries to take to the seas and launch a global attack on all fronts from beneath the skies. Though, as men once again set sail, the ocean reminds why the depths were abandoned all those years ago.

Early Access games like these should be hidden/removed from the Steam store if the devs are going to abandon it, completely incomplete, for over 6+ years. All Guns on deck is an example of why I wouldn't vouch for it at all. It honestly had the potential to play out as a great strategy game, with the mechanics, ship and character customization, crewing, and weapons you can choose at your disposal. It also comes with action-packed music, many explosion and gunfire effects, as well as a tutorial on how to play. Bad sadly it's short-lived. After 10-15 minutes of gameplay, I've already experienced everything the game has to offer, which is sadly cut short once I'd reached the next port. The world map is incomplete, and devs haven't done anything as of recently. Sadly All Guns on Deck gets a thumbs down from me. Don't waste your money on a dead, unfinished game.
A Space Strategy Game With Cool Ideas but Really Rough Execution
I actually liked the concept behind All Guns On Deck more than the game itself. The idea of mixing real-time strategy with tower defense mechanics in space sounds genuinely interesting, and at first it feels like there’s potential there. You build defenses, manage resources, and try to survive waves of enemy ships while expanding your control across the map. The problem is that the game never fully comes together in a satisfying way. Early on, things feel manageable. You place structures, defend points, and slowly learn how the different systems work. There’s a decent amount of customization with turrets and upgrades, and I could see what the developers were aiming for. The space setting also helps the atmosphere a bit, especially when battles start getting chaotic. But after a few missions, the gameplay starts feeling repetitive and awkward. A lot of the strategy boils down to figuring out the most effective defensive setup and then repeating the same process over and over. Enemy encounters don’t evolve enough to keep things interesting, and the pacing can become pretty slow. One of the bigges…

Would have been a good game with cool artstyle, but for now it's just incomplete and abandoned

Was quite happy with this game until I got to a point I cannot progress past then find out the dev abandoned the game. Steam seems more and more like Kickstarter but for games.
