About American Isekai: Legends of Nipponia
250 years ago, on the world of Nipponia, twin siblings Taneela and Tanaka seek to become Adventurers like their father. On the day of their registration, they are contacted by Mavis, the Crystal being and guardian of the world. Can they gather enough forces to stand against the rising evil in their world?
This is the story of how two unlikely heroes set off to save a world, and how the story of American Isekai began.
The game features several mechanics not found in the Prologue game including:
80-120 hours of gameplay depending on the player.
Equipment upgrading.
Monster Taming.
Class change.
Enemies level up with you, and learn new skills at higher levels.
Rank up in the Guild to get stat boosting cards.
A massive world map with several methods of travel including Airship, Teleportation Items, and a Guild Teleporter.
Quest Notes for tracking side and main quest objectives.
A World Map and a Local Map to track your position in the world for easier travel.
Learn skills from Skill Cores instead of through leveling.
A difficulty option for those that want to sail through the game, and those that want an extra challenge.
And much more!

✦ AI summary
Players praise the game's classic JRPG feel with extensive character customization options, diverse job classes, and plenty of side quests that encourage exploration and experimentation with different tactics. However, some players find the world feels empty with sparse NPCs, battles lack strategic depth and become repetitive, and the enemy scaling system removes the traditional grinding progression that older JRPGs offered.
Classic JRPG feel, but tons and tons of options for how you want to customize your characters' skills. Can change classes, level up specific weapons, add extra skills (at a cost of course) and a lot more. Really adds some strategy with all the customization features! I'm only at level 10, but it appears that while there are some linear elements with some quests, there's a lot of non-linear stuff you can do with side quests and just exploring in general as well! Disclaimer: I got this free as a beta tester, but my words are my own!5 found this helpful
This game is really good. I love the fact that you can do whatever the game has to offer, especially the monster taming.3 found this helpful
Disclaimer: I received the game for free as a Beta-Tester. The game has the old-school feel of a SNES-era RPG. There are a lot of playable characters, somewhat reminiscent of Final Fantasy VI (and later) games. The characters each have a personality of their own, which unfolds through the cut-scenes. There are also a variety of job-classes and class skills, so battle tactics can be experimented with and changed up. That's a neat aspect to the game. There are side quests galore, some weapon/equipment customization elements, and a rather unique system that allows you to either sell monster cores for in-game currency or apply to party members for bonus XP. I haven't completed the main story line yet, or even started some of the side quests, so I'm not sure how the story ends yet. I intend to keep playing to find out, even though beta-testing is over. The story line is intriguing and I need to know how it ends! Would recommend to anyone who enjoys an old-school RPG and/or an interesting story.2 found this helpful
I don't know what the other reviewers found so special about this game. Well, I only played for about four hours. And I have to say, I didn't find my experience particularly good. For one thing, the world is empty. There are hardly any people in the towns, and the overworld is quite desolate. On the other hand, there are battles galore. A JRPG without battles would be rather strange, wouldn't it? If only they were a bit more interesting. But they're basically just boring, almost always the same enemies in one area. Tactics? Just smash everything you've got. On top of that, the developer has revived one of the biggest weaknesses (for me) of old JRPGs: the enemies level up with you. So grinding is practically pointless. Our party starts with two people; you can buy people in the guild... but it costs a fortune... money that's hard to come by. You also quickly gain two more party members through quests. So far, so good. So we have two fighters, a priest, an enchanter, and (purchased) a mage. Well, now come the problems. Your priest can barely heal anything; he's useless for combat. Your enchanter is completely pointless (at least so far). The mage does practically no damage. And …1 found this helpful
