About American Isekai Prologue
✦ AI summary
Experience a story-driven JRPG prologue introducing an original American Isekai world with classic turn-based combat, magic and skill systems, and challenging random encounters. This short prelude sets the stage for an upcoming trilogy, designed to feel like playing through an anime and prioritizing narrative above all else.
Thanks for stopping by, This game is a short introductory into the American Isekai world that I've created. While not much content, it does set up the story for the up-coming Trilogy in development. That said I hope you enjoy it. This is a JRPG style game, with an emphasis on the storytelling. It features classic side view, turn-based battles with both a Magic and Skill system. Random encounters on the World Map will make you think before setting off on a long journey. While we all enjoy a bit of action, and there is plenty to challenge you, such as an optional boss that will require time and effort, I think nothing grips you better than a good story. And that is what the American Isekai Series will be about. I want the player to feel like they are playing through an Anime, though this game will not feature such elements. Animation is very expensive, and I am saving for the release of the first Game in the Trilogy. While an in-depth story has already been written, I am very interested in the feedback from the STEAM community about the groundwork that has been laid here. I am aware that as it stands this is a cookie cutter RPG, but bear with me as I wanted feedback while I work on the first game in the trilogy, American Isekai: Season One.
Before I played American Isekai Prologue, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
3 found this helpful
"American Isekai Prologue" is not a game. It's an advertisement for a product called "American Isekai". American Isekai is n't even released on Steam yet, but that's okay, because it's just an utter garbage RPG Maker asset flip with your usual high school anime club dropout fanfiction cringe writing and a bunch of RPG Maker assets rearranged on badly laid out RPG Maker tileset maps... ugh. I don't think we need to go over why RPG Maker is garbage yet again. But this isn't completely relevant because this is not American Isekai, it's just an advertisment for it, so it's not correct to try to review that completely distinct product. We must instead review this for what it is... an advertisement. If you enjoy advertisements, you can consume them for free on the web or on Youtube without needing to add them to your game library, download them, and then launch the advertising. It's impossible in a general sense to recommend people should do that over playing real, full games on Steam, and that applies here with "American Isekai Prologue" too. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on…2 found this helpful
Greeting Developer of American Isekai Prologue Just downloaded the game and I must say the game is good so far but I'm a bit surprised by the fact of not seeing the infamous trope of a protagonist ending up on another world due to getting hit by a truck or just getting killed by mistake. Instead the main character is a princess of a militant medieval empire with what being sent by her father to scout a neighboring realm with two escorts one low level mage and I think either an adventurer or a monk (Note: I figured they would be overpowered characters) in the part of a small scouting force sent to earth first, but instead end up in a snow covered land and figured I would get some levels before going to the first objective but it gave off major dragon warrior vibe and got killed on my first fight aside from a lot of bats before I decided to restart to see where I went wrong. (Note: I did a foolish thing and explored outside the snow covered lands only to end up running into a Minotaur and was brutally Party killed ) But I figured I would ask if this free game was only a demo to something bigger because I see the detail that was put into this and figured I would say thanks.1 found this helpful
