And Eyes To See : Escape Room

An Eyes to See was a challenging but fun experience. I really appreciate the in-game hint system and the detailed official walkthrough, it’s clear a lot of care went into making sure players don’t get completely stuck. The puzzles are clever and rewarding, though I will say they can be quite challenging and sometimes a bit cryptic. This might not be the most casual puzzle experience, but if you enjoy spending time thinking through complex challenges, this game definitely delivers. The controls take a little getting used to, since you can only look around rooms with the keyboard, which felt a bit limiting for me. That said, everything in the game does eventually make sense, and the sense of accomplishment when you solve a puzzle is very satisfying. Overall, I think An Eyes to See is a wonderful creation for anyone who loves intricate puzzle games. Personally, it wasn’t quite my style, but I can absolutely see it being a real gem for puzzle enthusiasts.

I love puzzle games (Escape Simulator, Call of the Sea, Botany Manor, A Hand with Many Fingers, Escape from Mystwood Mansion etc) but And Eyes to See is next level stuff - it is top shelf. I went in full of beans and quickly found this isn't like those other games. Its like spending your life doing wordsearches and then being asked to work on the enigma code. And I'm not complaining but if you're a casual puzzle fan, this might be too much for you. I always really love the initial search through these environments, where you establish a layout and acclimatize to the atmosphere. You get to know the developer a little and you try to understand the person that inhabits the space you have intruded upon. And everything in that regard is delightful. It is calm and confident. The controls are initially jarring but that is quickly forgotten and your time is your own - you're not against the clock and there is no sense of urgency. For the puzzles, I needed a quiet room and a lot of pen and paper as they are complex but equally satisfying. There is also an in-game hint system and an official walkthrough available. If you love puzzles and want to really push yourself, I can recommend this

It's hard! But fair. The puzzles need you to find the links between clues scattered throughout the apartment. They were all very different to any I've played so far, requiring different kinds of lateral thinking. I was impatient and used the guide a lot, but always came away realizing I had the information and just hadn't thought hard enough. The difficulty made the puzzles I figured out myself so much more satisfying though. It's also a uniquely personal game. The books, the pictures, and furniture all feel like objects from the dev's life. It's a nice change from the typical fantastical environments in puzzle games. Overall, I think patient puzzle gamers would enjoy this a lot. It's quite different from most "Escape Room" games on Steam, but if you've finished any of Myst, Schizm, Quern, etc. I bet you'd love this.

the game is interesting tbh, really liked the math puzzles, but the one with hexagonal shapes and the fish one made me hit my head against a wall, I tried playing without hints but couldnt do it on these two. Maybe its me that didnt get the clues or just did not understood the mental gymnastics behind it. I found some minor bugs on my way and had to restart the game one time, but still played everything and want the achievements to be added on steam. Now the thing that intriged me the most was the camera, I spent the whole game pondering why it was fixated in 4 ways, and trying to correlate it to a philosophical meaning or something, but really have no clue why it is like that, no puzzles use the perspective to give it a reason and it dosent get on the way of anything, its just... there - why it isnt just a free mouse? Does it represent anything? I recommend the game, its hard and simple.
