Not a bad game to try as it's free to play. I wouldn't pay for it tho. You can tell it's low budget but still takes a bit of strategy to get through, kind of fun in the end.

I went in hoping for some low quality early total war x master of magic mashup, I went out with brain eneurysm, "tutorial" slower and worse than loading screens in bethesda games and no will to continue past first few turns that showcased pretty much everything, from unbalanced combat, through nonexistent economy, to AI that doesn't care about anything and just takes over every possible tile at random The only good thing here is the price, as after years andrew decided to make it free, but even that doesn't seem right for a project you could recreate in scratch and make it have better UI, smoother clicks and gameplay that challanges something beyond your will to suffer for one more turn

Seems a fun game. For me it is limited because I refuse to let Adobe save the game, so if I want to play I need to play the whole game in one chunk. The gameplay is fine, you have a territory, eventually more than one, and you spend money to do various things, increase gold production, allow yourself to build more commoners or noble units, then you have to construct the buildings that let you built the assorted unit types. A pretty decent tutorial talks you thru all this. Oddly enough, given the name of the game, the tutorial does not cover magic! I think I figured it out pretty quickly though. Click on the book, click on the page, click on the rainbow colored icon in the middle, close the book cast the spell. Sadly every battle map seems to same, and there is a problem with balance as ranged units dominate, but that's not a big deal. One thumb up.
