Atre: Dominance Wars

What I like most is that the game constantly gives you things to think about. You're managing settlements, deciding where your Heroes should go, preparing armies, saving mana for spells, and reacting to whatever the map throws at you. It feels less like executing a perfect plan and more like adapting to an evolving situation. I also appreciate that lower-tier units don't instantly become useless. I've had plenty of situations where a well-positioned "weaker" unit or the right army composition mattered more than simply having the strongest stack. The visuals deserve a mention too. The updated spell effects, larger battles, and army formations make the game feel alive. There were several moments where I zoomed in just to watch a battle play out instead of immediately skipping ahead. It's definitely Early Access and still being polished, but if you're a fan of Heroes, Age of Wonders, or fantasy strategy games in general, I'd genuinely recommend giving it a try.

The setting is very creative, the gameplay is simple but fun, the magic feels impactful and important with the exception of perhaps Erol magic which only have 2 spells of note, both of which the impact they have is very passive. although the devs are very involved in their community which will most likely only do this game justice going forward.

This seems like a pretty good take on the HOMM style of strategy games, reminds me a lot of HOMM 5, but with more modern graphics. Obviously this is an early access title so there's a lot of jank, but overall I find this title pretty promising. Looking forward to what Ironward will do next for it!

A great take on the classic Heroes of Might and Magic type of gameplay. In a nutshell, you have your settlements that are the source of new units and your heroes that lead an army and you go around to explore and defeat opposing forces. I like the addition of the coop gameplay and that there are different stats and magic types which means that you can have drastically different types of viable strategies. The game is complex enough so that you have enough to master and the game doesn't get stale. And the campaign missions are great to get you eased into the game without overwhelming you with information. The devs seem to be passionate about the game so I'm curious how the game will evolve through the Early Access until the full release.

A fun game with lots of complexity so that the game doesn't get stale even after many hours, but at the same time it'a still surprisingly easy to get into. I still feel like I only scratched the surface. The campaign gets you used to the main concepts of the game, but the skirmish is where the game shines. I can't wait to play it coop with my friends. At the time of the review the game only recently released in Early Access and I haven't encountered any bugs so it's in a great state already. I can't wait to see what the devs will do to the game as they develop it further for the full release.

Game with a great pontential to live up to when it comes out of the early access. Has a nice rytham and you keep wanting to play more. Needs few brushing ups with interface and explanations about the spells. But worth the money, time an dthe effort.
