Arctictopia It's a puzzle game about a Mommy polarbear who keeps losing her child and we need to help her get back to him! First things first, I don't know who's fault it is that these 2 keep getting separated but if it's the kids fault someone should put him on a leash! Because after solving 150 puzzles I'm quite done with his shenanigans! Jokes aside this game is great! The art is super cute! The game mechanics are relatively simple but that's not bothersome at all. Some puzzles you fix in lightning speed and others make you stay stuck for at least 45 min! This game made me both feel good and bad about my skills in the puzzle department! Along the way of getting to your child you meet 2 other people who are also in desperate need of rescue! Eventhough seal can swim and puffin can fly! Lazy bums! There are also the orcas who like making things more difficult for you. The game talks about narwals and shrimp as well but I haven't seen those pop up at all. Now I don't know if that's due to the fact that I had already opened up the entire map or not. I try not to support demo-removing devs, no matter how promising the game looks and whether I had the chance to try it or not, but forgot to mark this ignored and ended up buying it. too late for a refund (again, regardless of price, it's not about that 1.24 eur I paid), so thought might as well play it. starts in a full screen-sized window with a really loud, skippable intro before any of the settings could be adjusted. settings that can only be accessed by pressing esc, there is no button to click in the menu, only for a list of cutscenes (much more important) and world select. settings are languages, [b]separate volumes that don't affect the intro, nor half the sfx[/b] (seal and puffin sounds) and the usual [b]buggy windowed mode without resolution options[/b]. it's resizable but going back to full screen after won't restore full screen resolution, everything will be all pixely. [b]it literally takes 3 seconds to test it, something they clearly didn't bother with.[/b] restarting the game fixes this in some other games, lazy in the same fashion, but here [b]only editing the registry restores full screen resolution[/b]. that's where progress is stored as well. and as always, the…

Charming puzzle game. Puzzle level is from your five year old to grown adult, most were a good brainteaser for the casual puzzle gamer, and some were unsolvable for someone as casual as myself. The drawings are cute, but if they tried to tell a story, they failed at that. Game should have been clear from the beginning that you need to find animals a certain amount of times to unlock new parts of the map and progress in the game. The map itself isn't organized well at all, but you rarely have to use it. The music is nice and chill, but the sound effect upon completing a level completely clashes with it. Also, the sounds don't stop when the window is unfocused. So I had to mute the game soon despite having muted the sound effects that were disturbing the chill music. Despite these shortcomings, I enjoyed my time in this game a lot, so I can still recommend it for any price below 2€.

I really enjoyed solving the puzzles in Arctictopia. The game has a relaxing soundtrack, though it does only have the one track. The illustrations and simple animations are cute. There are fun game mechanics introduced as you progress through levels, which is great. Over the course of 150 puzzles, there is not a real clear progression in puzzle difficulty. So, in the middle of the game you may struggle through one puzzle, and then easily breeze through the following one. I guess that makes for a more casual experience that keeps you playing at your own pace. If you like sliding puzzles or sokoban puzzles, Arctitctopia is a solid game you'll enjoy. :)

There is no planet B. A cute casual winter puzzler with adorable art. Highly recommended!
