Dragons and Titans got replaced by THIS??? Janky, unfinished, laggy, barely working game with combat that is so jank, without proper voice acting and sound bites that sound so ridiculously bad i literally feel like its from a copyright free soundboard. This game really sets me off because i was a die hard Dragons and Titans fan and player, heartbroken when i heard the devs would rather shut it down than implement a proper anti cheat. This is what's left in its place? A game so obviously unfinished, feels like an insult to someone who praised these same devs for a long, long time. This game, which i bought only because i wanted to support the devs that made one of my favorite games ever, only brings shame to the Wyrmbyte team and name, as well as serve as a direct insult to all the die hard Dragons and Titans fans.

After 28 hours, I'm ready to post a review: Let's address the elephant in the room. When you start off, Kai SUCKS. His abilities are trash, his weapons are trash, and he dies a lot. Get over it! Seriously, every game has a learning and improvement curve, and Ashes is no exception. Once you get some traction with the quests, you'll start levelling up rather quickly. *But you must be patient.* Kai needs to upgrade constantly, not because of enemy scaling, but because he starts off so weak. You'll find a weapon that you like and most likely stick with it. You'll find an ability that you like and stick with it. But stick with it you must -- the game is rewarding once you get past some technical glitches (I only lost some major frustration once I dropped my settings to medium - and saw no loss in fidelity, but major increases in performance). The setting is great, the dialogue is interesting, and Kai isn't some bland bootlicker who NPC-simps for fun. He has a reason to be out there and doesn't want to take a lot of crap from strangers. Yes, the lack of voice acting is unfortunate, but given the size of the developer, it makes sense! The island is ENORMOUS, and there are l…

The combat is rough, the map is huge but empty, enemies spawn in seemingly at random. It's pretty severely unpolished. Aside, as a born and raised resident of actual Oahu, the butchering of the map is actually pretty funny. Overall, too janky to recommend, but if you're local, maybe you'll get a kick out of the map.

Loved the game. back when it was named night-marchers i was overly hyped about it. playing through it i was utterly disappointed but still had some fun with the open world and the crazy traps, enemies, story-line, animals, spells, guns and environment. it still feels very apocalyptic while providing a environment that feels human-like and scared. CONS: everything feels cliche controls are clunky AF gun-play and combat feel like you are smacking a tank with a knife and the tank hits you with a rubber hammer. dialogue is nothing but "Mahalo" "thanks" "THER HE IS!" and it sucks stealth is absolutely garbage and the game never gets updates so the props and other items are absolute garbage the collection items don't have any markers or indicators meaning you will just stumble across them finally the entirety of the general game has ♥♥♥♥ and laggy graphics

Missing Mai Tais as elixirs Its a good game, It has a few optimization issues, Likely will cause your gpu to warm up. It isn't for everyone but I do recommend giving it a shot if you are curious. It is a huge map and plays similar to Far Cry but in 3rd person. Combat is OK. I love the setting since they are real places like Hanauma Bay and Koko Head. There is no voice acting and lack of sound variety. It is very colorful though. There is no autosave which can be a deal breaker for some. I enjoy the character design and mana abilities. Overall, if you are curious, try it. This is my first impression and hope the devs are able to make another game or more games set in Hawai'i
