Assetflip attorney takes the familiar idea of courtroom investigation and transforms it into an intentionally bizarre visual novel filled with murder cases, eccentric personalities, strange humor, and increasingly unpredictable situations. Developed and published by Xenom, it does not aim for a realistic interpretation of criminal law. Instead, the courtroom serves as a playground for deduction, comedy, character interactions, and an overarching mystery that gradually becomes more complicated as the story progresses. The basic objective is straightforward: defend people who have been accused of murder and uncover enough evidence to expose the actual culprit. Achieving that goal is considerably less straightforward because the people involved rarely behave sensibly. Witnesses can provide suspicious or confusing testimony, characters frequently have unusual motivations, and conversations can shift between legitimate clues and deliberate absurdity. This creates an unusual investigative atmosphere where the player must pay attention even when the dialogue appears to be nothing more than a joke. Genuinely one of my absolute favorite games of all time. Includes all of the best things a game can have: silly references, autistic humor, secrets, underlying metaphorical meaning, fitting grammatical errors, in-depth characterization, and an over-all perfectly planned storyline. This game requires you to think out of the box, ignore real-world rationality, and take everything less seriously as the only method to push forward. The only gripe I have with this game is the sheer amount of male and male-adjacent characters, but even then I was surprised by the default player character being casually non-binary. I've replayed this a genuinely absurd amount of times and I've only ever encountered maybe one bug? Possibly two? Also it's an extraordinarily small game for the amount of content fit inside. Over all I am genuinely impressed with this game in all aspects, the story, the mechanics, the obvious time and dedication poured into it, especially since it's also this developers very first game! I hold this game in a very high regard and highly recommend anyone, especially autists, to play it through. 10/10

This game is really good and funny for the first 3 chapters and keeps to the attorney bits, then chapter 4 is pretty decent but in the second half alot of lore gets dumped on your head but its hype moments and aura so its fine, and then the secret chapter is just 100% lore dump, You get introduced to alot of characters out of nowhere, insane worldbuilding you had no idea about, wasnt really for me. overall this game is amazing for a joke, you will probably enjoy it

Assetflip attorney is one of the funniest mystery games I have played because it clearly does not take the legal drama seriously at all. I play as a defense attorney trying to prove innocent people are not guilty while dealing with witnesses who seem completely incapable of behaving normally. I liked the absurd tone right away because the game constantly turns what should be serious courtroom situations into something completely ridiculous. The investigation side is what keeps the experience from being just a comedy sketch. I have to interrogate witnesses, examine evidence and look for contradictions in their stories before taking those discoveries into court. I enjoyed this because the game gives me a genuine reason to pay attention to what people are saying. When I spot something that does not line up, presenting the evidence and watching the case move forward feels really satisfying. The courtroom sections are easily my favorite part. I need to compare testimony against evidence and figure out when someone is lying, which gives the comedy an actual gameplay structure.
