Bad Dream: Purgatory, developed and published by Desert Fox, is an unsettling and deeply surreal adventure that leans heavily into psychological horror and abstract storytelling. I really like this game, the update helps to navigate without confusion.

The Bad Dream series was always very innovative with its setting. Basically in this game, you're within a realm that's basically an unfinished world. Everything here just became a scrapped idea, and now the people are longing for purpose. I also love how they expanded on the ink from the previous game, Fever, where depending on how competent the person using the ink is, it can have either positive or negative effects. (Evidently, the person in Fever using it was a complete quack at the use of ink.) I LOVE the Bad Dream series, and I was so surprised when I saw the releases of Purgatory and Afterlife. And I eagerly await what Desert Fox will present us in the future. By the way, I see that recently the game was remade from scratch from a 3D freeroam game to a 2.5D point and click, like all the other games are. Which, I think the option for the original 3D freeroam version should still be here, but personally, I do prefer this gameplay style, it just feels more true to the rest of the Bad Dream series. (As of writing this I haven't written a review on Coma or Fever, I'm just doing this since the 2.5D update came out like a week ago.)

I love the other Bad Dream games by DesertFox but this one? I hate it. I don't like the 3D aspect or the controls and the "story" is complicated to figure out. I'm not a fan of this style and I don't recommend this game.
