Bad Midwife is a pretty terrible horror game that while functional has very little other redeeming features Pros + Its a complete game that is finishable Cons - Its very short - The chase sequence is nothing - The story is so bad its kinda funny6 found this helpful
0 game . its just nothing . if you want to waste next 20 mins of your life . here you go .3 found this helpful
Played it and promptly forgot about it - Poorly made with low effort design and heavy use of Ai generated assets and nonsensical "jumpscares" make it a regrettable purchase... It would have been *fine* if it were one of those throwaway itch.io free games made to hone a devs skills, but to charge $5CAD when far superior titles are available for less than that is shameful.3 found this helpful
John Travolta didn't give a rat's rear end that I switched off the TV. The game is horrendously made and is pointless, short and buggy.3 found this helpful
It IS spooky but it has some flaws.
Being chased in a dark maze has got to be some kind of primal fear.
Its very rough and clunky and if you miss any of the somewhat improbable dialogue you'll be stuck. It's very short and really not worth it. If it had cards or achievements I could marginally recommend it but as it is, skip it.
This indie title is another short horror experience that embraces deliberately retro visuals and design, which suit the genre perfectly. You take on the role of a pregnant woman left alone at night while her husband is at work, but the evening quickly takes a sinister turn. Strange occurrences begin almost immediately. Lights flicker out, doors shut on their own, and even your neighbor vanishes, before you too are eventually kidnapped. Progress is tied to completing objectives. At first, you’re heating lasagna in the microwave, using the bathroom, or doing laundry. Objectives aren’t explicitly displayed, so you need to pay attention to the subtitles that guide you forward. There are no waypoints or highlighted interaction points, but since the house is small, it’s easy to stay on track without wandering aimlessly. Unfortunately, the experience lasts barely 20 minutes. After a handful of household chores, the game funnels you into a dull, straightforward maze before abruptly ending. There are no real puzzles, memorable events, or even effective jump scares, just a brief message to close things out. Because of this lack of depth, the price feels hard to justify unless it’s reduced …
