It's an okay on-rails wave shooter for kids. It's a bit short though. Maybe 5 minutes. I don't think the idea of using garlic versus using the holy water gun is quite fleshed out. I couldn't find a reason to use the garlic "shotgun", since it was so much slower and harder to use than the holy water gun. Kids may enjoy it for a Halloween-themed treat. Visuals are nice enough. There just isn't much to the gameplay though. When I say kids, I mean like 4-8 year olds. I doubt this would hold anyone else's interest. Rate 5/10. It was free.

Battington Manor is a short VR shooter that takes a pretty funny idea and keeps things simple. I step into a haunted manor that has been taken over by evil bats, with the job of saving the Battington family and putting things back in order. I get a holy water blaster and a garlic bazooka, then make my way through the manor shooting the bats that get in my way. The whole thing has a colourful carnival style that makes it feel more playful than scary, which I think suits the game really well. The shooting is straightforward, but I actually like how easy it is to get into. I am guided through the manor rather than being dropped into a complicated open area, so I can focus on aiming and getting used to the VR controls. The weapons also give the combat a little personality. Using holy water and garlic against bats is much more memorable than simply giving me another normal pistol. There are destructible objects around the environment too, which makes shooting through the manor feel a bit more active. The dungeon section gives the game a more arcade style finish. After moving through the haunted halls, I reach an arena where I have to free the good bats from their cages and restore pea…
