THE STORY
"I became insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity."
Edgar Allan Poe

David does not know much about his father's final weeks, but the circumstances of his death seem more than peculiar. Settling the heritage is merely an excuse for David to find out more about the castle his father grew up in, meeting the family he never knew and for shedding light on the mysteries surrounding his father's death.

Is there really a curse that has been haunting his family for generations as his father believed? Or are the mysteries hidden inside the cold walls of Black Mirror house of a far more wordly nature?
It is up to David to uncover the horrible truths, buried under generations of silence and fathoms of stone.

What even is this and why does it exist? It's a weird reimagining of the 2003 point'n'click game, but it follows the original so loosely that it might as well be a different game. It's ugly, unpolished, full of bugs and it doesn't do anything better than the original. Sure, the original game had its problems as well (pixel hunting and having to execute a weird sequence of events to make time move forward), but that was in 2003, and it was still a much more compelling and well-told story, you barely even leave the castle in this demake. Just buy the original trilogy, this is EMBARRASSING.3 found this helpful
I played this on Keyboard and Mouse because no matter what I did, I couldn't get either an Xbox or a Playstation Controller to connect/be recognised. Not the end of the world, I've played games this way before. In some respects it's better, right? Wrong. I remember playing the Original Black Mirror games, and this was I was led to believe, a remake of the original Black Mirror Game from a good 20yrs ago, and maybe this is my fault but I thought I was going to hit familiar territory but with a nice new shine to it. I thought this was going to be a story where i'd remember a few beats and could therefore get further than I thought before getting stuck. This might as well be a brand new entry, but even if I treat it as a brand new entry to the franchise, the story is so disjointed and pointless, and let's not get me started on the lag! You click on an item to view it, and it takes 5-10 seconds to load up, and then another 5-10 seconds to back out of it. That's a little too long for my liking in a point and click, why's it taken loading time? What is this game running in the background that a simple and frequent action such as this is taking me so long? I think the game nee…
I love this type of games. It was a beautiful game. Thank you for your work. I hope you will support the Arabic language in future projects. Thanks again.
This game has SERIOUS bug issues. Often you get locked out of dialogue for achievements or the character can get stuck in animations during cutscenes, causing the game to get stuck and not progress. Restarting entire chapters is often the only way to fix these bugs and saving throughout the chapter has mixed results. Sometimes it helps you restart right before the bug happened and other times it causes you be stuck with the bug permanently unless you start the chapter over again.

I bought this game quite a while ago and finally decided to give it a try. The story was honestly pretty confusing for me. There are so many characters, and it was hard to remember who everyone was or understand their relationships and motivations. The graphics are not terrible, but they are not particularly impressive either. Since this is a remake, I was expecting something closer to a true next-generation visual experience. The puzzles are also fairly limited. Most of the gameplay consists of walking around, searching for people or objects, and triggering the next story event rather than solving meaningful puzzles. Movement and controls felt awkward at times. I frequently got stuck on small objects on the ground while walking, which made exploration feel clunky. One thing that really stood out to me was the gardener, Rory. Sometimes he would just stand completely still without any idle animation at all. It genuinely looked like the developers placed a 3D model into the scene and forgot to animate him. The story itself also didn't give me much motivation to keep going. Fortunately, the game is relatively short, so I still managed to finish it.
