Black Mirror III is the last game of the Black Mirror series where the story ends with our main character Darren. After his journey to the small English town Willow Creek, he continues to discover his dark past and his ties to royal Gordon Family and the ancient curse that has been haunting the family for centuries. Just like the first and second game, Black Mirror III offers a traditional point and click experience and perfectly blend it with the story that unfolds its secrets shockingly and fluently. The gameplay and puzzles are pretty challenging and logical, but also gives you some basic assistence to progress. As this game is actually the final part of a long story, I strongly recommend playing the first and second games beforehand.
Black Mirror III is the final game in the series. I started the game one day after its release and finished it somewhere within a week. This game ends the series and, even to this day, it leaves me with the memorable quote that i still use today: ‘Some very sharp knives…!
I found this game was a good end to the series. It was mildly frustrating at times and I still find Darren to be highly insufferable, but I did end up feeling bad for him after a while. Kinda like how the first game made me feel bad for Samuel. The puzzles were fine, but I did need a walkthrough for a few points that didn't make much sense to me. Overall, glad to have played these, would recommend.
Finally completed this again after 15 years since release, played the whole trilogy . It s a solid story and quite unusual . would have liked a bit more epilogue , but looking forward to the prequel.
