About Blackwood Crossing
You play as Scarlett, a teenager finding her way in the world. You wake up, disorientated, to find yourself and your younger brother, Finn, inexplicably travelling on a moving train.
But when a mysterious figure appears, it’s clear that this is no ordinary train ride. It’s the beginning of a magical voyage, steeped in life, love and loss.
Navigating this powerful drama - where the world, and your abilities develop in extraordinary ways - you are forced to examine your relationship with Finn. You are orphans, and your relationship has always been strong. However, adolescence has opened the door to new interests, and you’ve been growing apart.
As you gradually uncover the depths of Finn’s anguish, the consequences of your remoteness become shockingly clear.
What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Blackwood Crossing is praised as an emotionally moving story-driven game with beautiful art direction and strong voice acting that resonates deeply with players. Most appreciate its straightforward walking simulator style, clever puzzles, and compact playtime of around 40 minutes, though some find the puzzle difficulty uneven and occasionally confusing. The game's primary strength is its emotional narrative about loss and love that consistently moves players to tears, making it a worthwhile experience for those seeking meaningful indie games despite its simplicity.
Incredible story, I´ve always wanted to play it since I was a child. Made me really emotional.
A heartfelt story that doesn't give you every single answer, leaving elements to interpretation. Some details are revealed or are evident earlier on than others, but its a nice walking sim with 2.5hrs or so of gameplay, limited to walking and minor puzzles. A nice experience for an afternoon of gaming.
A lovely story, sad but, definitely worth playing. I enjoyed streaming it, a very straight forward game.

For anyone who hasn't yet purchased this game, then I wholeheartedly recommend Blackwood Crossing. I can sum the game up in two words...'Utterly beautiful'. You won't be disappointed. I was hooked from beginning to end. It will pull at your heart strings. I was in tears at the end.
