For an indie game and free this has some neat concepts. There are some downsides: - The puzzles. You have 3-4 stones you have to rotate left or right, with different symbols on them. There are no hints as to what the solution is, or how to solve it. It is trial and Error. - You have to collect stone, wood, bones and berries to upgrade your camp. Some of these resources are absurdly scarce. I understand the need for game balancing, but there is a point where the game is overbalanced against you. - Eating items in the wilderness. You can eat mushrooms and other items in the wilderness to regain health after combat. How ever if you are at full health, you just consume what ever. And these do not repopulate. Be nice if the game refused, or if they repopulated. - Monsters. You fight all these weak monsters, and while they can kill you, you can do pretty good against you. Next thing you know you are in a boss battle with no weapon or health improvements. And the boss follows you every where you go. While this game has some great ideas, it could be allot better if the above mentions items were fixed. I stopped playing when I got to the second puzzle where you had to cross a bridge, …2 found this helpful
Meh. I have seen way worse but still too clunky controls and unbearable mechanics even with cute AF artistic approach that normally encaptivates me, this game failed for my taste buds.1 found this helpful
Cute game, be aware that you cant save and leave the game, but easily completed within a few hours of play. The Campfires act as small save points within the game, so you don't have to worry about any character death when fighting the monsters. As someone who struggles with the longer form games this was a nice little medium game, good luck to the developers for their next projects! As a filled out Uni Project, this is great work.1 found this helpful
It needs a save feature. But it's not a bad game. I just can't play it right threw so it makes it super hard to enjoy.1 found this helpful
Overall cute game that feels complete. Played all the way through in about 50 minutes or so. Lovely art style and the areas you're in feel fleshed out. Through and through a little simplistic but its not a story or message that needs overcomplexity to shine. Only snag that got in the way of really enjoying the game is the combat is rather clunky and its hard to tell what your actual hit range is and what the enemies actual hit box is, but honestly you're never really punished for it as it usually sends you to the nearest bonfire if you run out of health and the enemies retain the damage you've dealt unless you sleep. An enjoyable way to spend an hour. Would recommend if it matches your vibe.
cant turn of the search sound and its driving me insane, giving up on it
