Game contains introduction of the actual art installation created with photogrammetry and five different nightmare sequences for the players to experience. The main aim of the project was to develop new innovative methods for presenting contemporary art, and also to see what kind of emotional responses you can provoke in the players.
The development of Blanket Heavy with Nightmares is part of Stories to games project which is coordinated by the Finnish Museum Association and funded by European Social Fund.

Blanket Heavy With Nightmares is a free VR experience. It worked on my HTC Vive and Index system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok, was understandable. It has four experiences you can choose from by gazing at hotspots on a blanket in the lobby. Presents different fears in a VR format. Some have jumpscares, some have impending doom feelings. Has Finnish and English instructions and a language switch. Try it, if you like being scared.4 found this helpful
How is this not more popular!?
It's some free nightmares (or fears) to experience in VR. They did an excellent job in each of them! I really enjoyed this game!1 found this helpful
The mirror one was amazing, combined with the sound designed did spook me.
A Finnish art installation and collection of 5 short VR-experiences, and in all of them you're a spectator of someone's personal nightmare, re-imagined in VR. A few are on the more surreal side, and others deals with very classical fears such as falling and drowning. This together with the absence of graphical content makes it suitable for a bit younger audience as well. There's elements of surprise but it never really gets too scary. You navigate the main menu with gaze control, making it really comfortable as no controllers are needed. You can just put it on, sit back, and (try to) relax. Also, it is free!
