The game plays like a basic 2D top-donw RPG,to The potion system is an interesting, rewarding and a unique game mechanic. Game design facilitates fast grinding but at the same time it also feels increasingly repetitive due to the lack of variety of everything in the game, except potions. In combat the Blind Wizard randomly casts elemental spells that accumulate respective elemental power, eventually able to cast more powerful spells. Enemies have weaknesses an strengths and your job as the Assistant is to make sure the blind ♥♥♥♥ uses the right spells and keeping him healed, while also hurling homemade elemental cocktail bombs at the local fauna. The potion system carries the whole game, and it's needed. Beyond the potions and spells, the game has only repetition. Visuals, audio, combat quickly run out of steam. I had a mildly good time and appreciate the call back to old-school and unique potion mechanic. After beating the game I definitely feel that the price tag is unproportionally high. It's important to note that turning the wizard to face diagonally up makes him head bang seriously well for his age. It lines up decently with Omerta if you want it to.
