how does a culture (re)produce itself in its media? what does a culture's media say about the culture? when our understanding of a culture is filtered through its media, do we truly understand? and can the revolution be televised? Blippo+ distills these questions into an interactive homage to the TV shows of 1980's United States: cooking shows, talk shows, exercise shows, sci-fi, game shows, edutainment, news! all of which are informed and penetrated by what happens off-screen -- a sequence of culture-changing events best left to the player to discover. every artist who touched this artwork should be proud of their accomplishments; Blippo+ moves far beyond parody and homage, into something genuinely moving and thought-provoking, something only really achievable in this (albeit limited) interactive medium.

There's no particular strategy; you're pretty much on rails. It's still fun to follow the underlying story and learn about the culture on Blip. Tantric Computing cracks me up and makes me feel uncomfortable at the same time. 😆

When Blippo+ started being broadcast here on Earth it consumed my life i need one thousand full-length episodes of Rubber Report and Quizzards, yesterday

Bippo plus is a sort of interactive movie where you surf across different channels on a broadcast coming from another universe , it's got different parodies that mirror the popular genre that defined 90's television. there is not a lot of interactivity beyond switching channel and once in a while receiving a new packets of channels and programs to watch , there is a broad story and Blippo plus has an interesting story about the peoples of another planet that found the ''bend'' with which they had been experimenting with but don't fully understand yet. each program are average but the whole experience of going through the channels and trying to watch everything is pretty well done , sadly , the only downside is that the whole thing end in a cliffhanger right when things start getting good and actually fun to watch. for the price it is a decent experience even if it's could have been much better.

I would have never bought this game if I had see it while browsing Steam, luckily it was part of my Slow Game Club and I was able to experience it anyway. I wouldn't qualify this as a "game", there is no goal, no direction. Yet it is an experience I would recommend people to have. It is a story, a world, a love letter to the 80s-90s, all presented as a short format cable TV simulation. You can tell everyone involved in this project was having a blast. You can enjoy Blippo + in many levels, as a brief nostalgia experience, as a world you are getting a glimpse of, pay attention to the details and suddenly you are being introduced to a completely different culture that is parallel to ours. I highly recommend this game, especially for people that don't mind being a little uncomfortable.
