About Brickbuilder VR
Brickbuilder VR is a high-fidelity VR model building simulator. With both decorative blocks and mechanical components such as axels, gears and motors, the game enables you to build a wide variety of interesting creations that move and interact with each other in the virtual world.
Brickbuilder VR features 2 primary modes of play: "blueprints", which lets you re-create structures that we have designed, and "freeform", which is building from a blank slate. At launch, Brickbuilder VR includes 10 blueprints. More will be added as we add more features and content to the game.
The game is also designed with extensions in mind: it will be possible to create a blueprint from an existing build directly from within the game. We will also release an official SDK, which will provide the functionality to create custom pieces, 3D models, and textures.
Brickbuilder VR is at an early stage of its development. In addition to performance improvements, UI-overhauls, and bug fixes, we plan to add the following features to the game in the future: pistons / linear actuators; lights; sensors and graph programmability; script programmability; propellers / flying interactions; magnetic joints; and many more. Your support will help us make these a reality.

So I rarely review games... but this one really makes me upset and tilted... First things first the positive! • Game looks nice in fact my pc can handle the game on the very high graphic preset. Can’t think of anything else positive right now… oof The Negative.. • The controls are horrible, I sat and struggled with trying to turn the music in the game literally and it was blasting in my poor ears like it was incredibly loud, but guess that is what happens when you have good earbuds. • Hands are weirdly posed and I can’t grab things.. At least 95% of the time and when I can I struggle to pick it back up >:/... I have a HTC Vive VR Headset and have the default wand controllers. I would really love to actually get into this game but it is literally unplayable with my controllers… to sit there and struggle to do anything really kills the mood of trying to play it. I might revisit the game later on when there’s more and better controller support, and update my review on this game but till then big L and thumbs down. Video out on July 7th at 8 AM MST (GMT-7) then you can see my visual struggles... https://youtu.be/IX-17nmcp4A -- Key was given to me from Keymailer2 found this helpful
Its lego, in VR, its automatically cool. I will admit theres a couple of oddities, I dont get why the steps are repeated and it would be nice to rotate them rather than just move them around, make it clearer where hidden parts are going but seiroulsy, despite its flaws it works so well.1 found this helpful
Very fun game, the dev is welcoming in the community hub, and in my case, responded in under an hour. the main game has some minor issues, but they don't render the game unplayable. overall, very recommended.1 found this helpful
It works (with valve index). The user interface needs a lot of work. Menus should NOT be "on" the table. They should be floating and movable. You need a lot fewer parts, and a tool to scale them. So a single axle part, which you can stretch or shorten, and for advanced users, the diameter can also be changed. Parts could optionally snap to multiples of a single brick unit in size. For an excellent example of what I want, look at the "gizmo" tool in tabletop simulator. It allows detailed adjustment in each of the three dimensions; can also be used for fine adjustment of part location and orientation while building. I also would like to be able to adjust the table any time, rather than only at start up. The valve index binding should use the grab function rather than trigger to pick up pieces. I know that other VR controllers don't necessarily have this feature, but for the index it makes sense, as then you use the trigger for remote pickup. Hence one needs no special tool for the remote case.1 found this helpful
Had so much potential... :/
