I genuinely hoped for a "hidden gem," especially for a $7 - $13 indie game on a major sale. Sure, the game has its merits. For instance, the dev created his own custom language, learned it, and voiced the game himself - that’s commendable. But he'd better have learned another programming language instead and made the controls less clunky. The game itself, unfortunately, is boring. The entire gameplay boils down to just climbing higher and dully chipping away at waves of mobs. The trailer tricks you by showing a dash mechanic that keeps things moving just fast enough to feel engaging, combining abilities, and stylishly wiping out enemies while a huge golem companion walks beside you.In reality, while this golem is supposed to be your core mechanic, its early-game efficiency is an absolute joke, lucky to hit maybe two out of ten shots. This game's weird, and it's cool as hell. Easy recommend. Be forewarned, it's a tower defense game at its core mixed with third person action, with room for exploration and experimentation.1 found this helpful
Truly a unique experience and such a hidden gem. No game is like that.1 found this helpful
Amazing and compelling characters surrounded by a competent combat system, a driving narrative, and a beautiful (if empty) world. A real triumph for such a small team, thank you.
"Full Controller Support" and "The developers recommend playing this game with a controller" yet the dpad just doesnt work. -vsync also doesnt work -controls are just bad and clunky in general
Indie development is a gift to humanity that keeps on giving. Never quite played anything like it
