About C-Wars
✦ AI summary
Lead soldiers through randomly generated missions in a 16-bit pixel horror world, managing gear and supplies while uncovering the dark truth behind a monstrous outbreak. Survive increasingly dangerous encounters in this tough roguelike where failure mounts pressure rather than ending your run, forcing you to adapt or succumb to mounting crisis.

C-Wars is pixel action horror game with strategy, rogue-like flavor, and a 16-bit graphics which is retro enough to bring you back to 90's.
Start your story with different heroes from different factions. Unveil dark stories behind the infectious outbreak that turns people into mutated monsters.
Each playthrough has a main storyline and randomly generated missions. You'll need to fight off enemies, loot gears, supplies and manage soldiers to get a better chance of survival.
Combat will be tough and unforgiving. But you'll have many chances to better yourself. Getting beaten in battle won't instantly kill you. Instead, it increases the crisis value. The more time you spend on failure and wander around the closer you are to face the end.

Unfinished Kickstarter/Early Access scam. Actually had a decent amount of work put into it, especially the graphics, but development stopped before the part where it became a real game with gameplay or a story.6 found this helpful
When I kickstarted this game initially I was hoping for a indie game in the style of Megaman Battle Network with a little added depth here and there. I eventually got that when I bought another game called "One Step from Eden" as well as several others at this point. C-Wars on the other hand had a decent playing alpha, then eventually the game turned into what we have here. What progress was made, like more detailed backgrounds with bigger stages, wound up being things that hurt the seemingly tight game design of the previous demo. It also pretty quickly became clear that there wasn't ever going to be much more content the few screens you see on the store page.1 found this helpful
Now now I was one who badmouthed this game for being dead for years and to my surprise devs came back to it, which is great, On to it: Art is wonderful, story is cool and combat is fluid for most part. Now I got two main points regarding the later: -Constant chatter of the characters mid combat - combat here is not turn based and there are no voice overs, so it means combat stops in the middle of action for really lengthy conversations between MC and his AI. I love the flavor text you guys use however for combat information it is really long winded. Either give us a text only tutorial accessible anytime in the game or make info more on point and or only at the start of a battle. -Don´t make us lose itens when we lose, just gives a straight game over like most games do. Or at least give us an option like "Normal mode - you just get a game over when you die" and "survivor mode - you lose your itens when you die and can try again". I mean it is not an easy system and being fast means we can also lose quickly and losing itens with that is really bad. Basides those two points, loving the game thus far :3 -1 found this helpful
What a mess. I am one of the unfortunate persons who backed this on Kickstarter. The final result feels very wonky and unfinished and is a long way from what was promised.1 found this helpful
It is still a huge mess with clunky controls, even with playing tutorial the game is not really possible to play. perhaps it will get better but i doubt it, if there was a way to use your mouse to choose things while setting things up it would be better, but it is basically a control heavy dependant game. i would like to like this game as the concept seemed quite fun, but no.... this is not a game worth the money spendt on it.1 found this helpful
Horrible. Completely rear-ended the backers. Free would be too expensive.
