Cardaclysm is probably the first card game (besides yu-gi-oh) that I ever played. It’s not a genre I’m a huge fan of. And with some negative reviews I was really skeptical to try, even with the cheap price. But since I had nothing to lose but a few bucks and an hour or so, I gave it a try. And now I’m at Tier 4, with a deck full of cool cards, making some hard decisions to win matches. Totally addicted. As I said, I don’t play these kind of games very often, because they seem boring and “slow”. Card games revolve around one mechanic, that is “planning ahead”. You have to calculate your moves (yes, math), to see if one monster will die, how much damage it can do, which buffs gonna take away the enemies health, how many turns until the next effect and so on… Some RNG elements apply, of course, but the formula is the same. Cardaclysm goes the same way, but introduces a map where you can run to collect Golden runes and artifacts, random placement of enemies, and some equipment that can aid you on your journey. Judging by what other people say it seems like the game is bad and not worth it, but if you know how to play and give it some time, you can have hours of fun. One complaint I …

Play Time: 64hrs Achievements: 39 of 39 Date/Version: May 10th 2026 Rating: 5.5 out of 10 Cardaclysm - a card battler deck builder that must have been SO different prior to me playing it. First I would like to say I completely understand the mix reviews. Honestly it was hard to tell what this game was originally designed to be. It feels like the designers had an idea, had to adjust on the fly, then just release a game. You can see the elements of several other card games, but all of which is either half baked or just out of place. You have this “pub” that you'll go to between traveling between fights, running from some enemy bosses (until you believe your ready to fight them). Well this “Pub” is just annoying, every time you walk past an NPC who's active you automatically talk to the individual. Whom not only wastes your time like this review, but in addition may cause you to accidentally spend your points, or exchange items for cards that you never had an intention to give away. You have the capability of increasing the difficulty... for what... because by the time you grasp the game you really don't want to play at a harder level. I believe when this game first came out it wa…

If you carve something from Blizzard or Bioware but want to support Indie Studios instead of Mega Corps, Elder Games delivers. Heart Stone - Cardaclysm Starcraft - Meridian Mass Effect - Everreach Cardaclysm itself has its ups and down, sometimes Luck is against you (i.e. drawing just the wrong cards) BUT once you get familiar with the various effects and how they interact one can build interesting and nearly undefeatable decks. What seemed like an undefeatable enemy at first might just be the key to defeating the next undefeatable one. HIGHLY RECOMMEND CARDACLYSM!

Cardaclysm: Shards of the Four, developed by Elder Games and published by Headup, is a fascinating experiment that attempts to blend collectible card mechanics with action-RPG exploration. It drops the player into a dark fantasy world as a rogue wizard who has unleashed forces far beyond his control, summoning the mythical Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. The premise sets the tone immediately—mystical, ambitious, and slightly self-aware. From the opening moments, the game establishes that it’s not just about summoning cards; it’s about surviving in a world torn apart by your own hubris. What follows is an adventure that mixes exploration, tactical card battles, and light RPG progression into a cohesive experience that’s as creative as it is occasionally uneven. At its core, Cardaclysm revolves around the idea of collecting and battling through decks of spells and creatures. Each encounter unfolds through turn-based combat where you play cards using two key resources—gold and soul energy. These resources dictate how many cards you can summon, so managing them efficiently becomes essential. The deck limit of fourteen cards forces players to focus on synergy rather than quantity, and…
