It's a VN that you can finish in an hour. The twists are pretty neat. You'll be asked to give a name at the start. For story reasons, I advise giving a male name.

Case 00: The Cannibal Boy delivers a compact psychological horror experience that favors atmosphere and emotional discomfort over traditional scares. Created by Sounding Stone, Meijin Zhu, and MaouCat Studio, with publishing support from Sounding Stone and RMAsia, this visual novel approaches horror through mystery, psychology, and urban folklore rather than relying on fast-paced gameplay or constant moments of shock. The result is a short but memorable journey that quietly unsettles players long after it ends. The story places players in the role of a psychology graduate student studying human judgment and decision-making. This academic backdrop immediately gives the game a distinctive identity. Instead of simply presenting frightening events, the narrative explores how people process fear, uncertainty, and information. At the center of the mystery is an unsettling urban legend involving a figure known as the Cannibal Boy, a story that gradually grows darker as players move deeper into the narrative. Pretty short, sadly. But hey, the story was interesting for a short one.

A short visual novel that I definitely had fun with. You can catch on to the plot twists really quickly - everything is well set up and pays off. I'm honestly captivated by Brucie and Jade as characters. They're really fun to see in the protagonist roles and it got me super interested in the rest of the games because they feel like such unusual protagonists. My problems with the game are mostly to do with the stigmatisation of some conditions and playing into tropes that are dangerous to perpetuate. It's not an uncommon issue but it makes me roll my eyes.

The story was more boring than horrifying to me.

Very interesting story! Some parts look Ai generated though there is one scene where Jades eyes are absolutely cattywampus. The story are morals are unique. As an aspiring cannibal myself (Jk) I can say that this game could've have used a bit more time to flesh out things. Overall a 7/10 game would recommend. All it would need is a bit more direction and artistic refining
