Cannibal Tales - Episode 1

Jeffery Dahmer, Albert Fish, Armin Meiwes, Thomas Hewitt, Hannibal Lecter, Orge Lambart and you mom, plus many others have consumed upon human flesh, whether for their own twisted sick perversions or a need to survive, like that Rugby team that crashed and decided to chomp down on some of their teammates Roast Rumps cannibalism has been a party of human history for as long as history has been recorded. In fact, I’d wager to bet that when man picked up a stick for the first time and bashed it over another man’s head it was likely to cannibalize him to stave off hunger. Anyway, enough talk about serial killers and cannibals and Hannibal’s and their many victims what brought us to this glorious review section was the game Cannibal Tales Ep 1 (although looking at upcoming games for the developers I don’t see an Ep 2 unfortunately.) The game is a uniquely interesting experience, a visual novel but with some strangely awesome visuals. This was so good I wish there was an episode 2 at least or more, feels like a prologue to a really good game. I guess it has been released so long ago that I don't expect any follow ups.

This is an amazing game that perfectly captures the essence of 80s italian horror. The story, the visuals, the audio, everything aligns perfectly. And the audio is really, really nice. A shame there are no more episodes as I would love to see where the story went next.

I’m not normally keen of visual novels but wow Cannibal Tales is an experience.
