The game is set against the backdrop of the “Wànguó Lái Cháo Tú” painting created by an anonymous Qing Dynasty artist and includes 200 carefully drawn cats, creating interesting interactions with the ancient scenes and characters.
The “Wànguó Lái Cháo Tú” is a colored silk painting by an anonymous Qing Dynasty court artist, currently housed in the Palace Museum in Beijing. The painting depicts a grand and lively scene of tribute missions from various nations. It shows guests from different countries and ethnicities, dressed in colorful attire and carrying a wide array of tributes, gathering outside the Taihe Gate, waiting for an audience with Emperor Qianlong. The artwork vividly showcases the magnificence of the palace complex and the grandeur of the Qing Dynasty with nations paying tribute.

[H1]Cats in the Forbidden City[/h1][hr][/hr] 10 to 30 minutes to complete, Cats in the Forbidden City is a short hidden object game in which you explore the 1761 silk painting “Ten Thousand Nations Coming to Pay Tribute” (Winter version, there are two!) where an unknown artist painted the scene of foreign delegations from all over the world visiting the Qianlong Emperor in the Forbidden City. There are 200 cats to find, as they have been digitally drawn in this historical piece – so not only do you get to learn and get close up with a piece of history, you can find cats in it too. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3671853096 By clicking on the title, you can view the digitally scanned painting (299 × 207cm) without the cats. While this particular game is fairly short due to the paintings size, Catnip Studio has done this before with other silk paintings, some even being 40ft, or 12 meters long, so if you enjoy this one or are feeling particularly interested in history, there are a few other games to go through such as “Cats of the Qing Dynasty” “Cats of the Tang Dynasty” and one of my favorites; “Cats of the Yuan Dynasty” which was made sometime around 1271 – …8 found this helpful
I really enjoyed this song! The artwork for the level looks amazing, the music sounds great and is relaxing, and the game is very fun to play. I definitely recommend this game!

Yes its a very short play thru but the art is very well done. Nice music with nature sounds layered in so its a very relaxing game. I would try and catch it on sale though since it is so short.
Cats should be forbidden in the city.
